IKGPTU BTech Eligibility & Highlights 2025
Punjab Technical University (PTU) has been renamed as I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU). The university offers BTech (four-year) in 29 specialisations at the main campus. BTech is also offered at IKGPTU constituent campuses. Admission is through JEE Main, followed by PTU Counselling. However, at some campuses, admission is done based on merit in Class 12 as well. I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University also offers BTech (Lateral) courses. The admission process for these courses is carried out as per the norms laid by the Punjab government/or the university.

Additionally, the student must also meet the minimum eligibility criteria. Eligible candidates with a valid JEE Main score can further fill out the IKGPTU application form online (ptu.ac.in). IKGPTU BTech Admission 2025: How to Apply?
Candidates seeking admission to a BTech course at PTU Jalandhar need to fill out an online/offline application form. Students can pay the application fee by Credit Card/Debit Card/Net banking/E-Challan. In the case of E-Challan, the application fee can be paid in any branch of the Indian Bank. The placement drive for 2023 is still on going. The complete placement report is yet to be released. However, the University has released the list of recruiters who participated during IKGPTU placements 2023 such as TCS, HDFC Bank, Decathlon, Infosys, etc.
The University has also released the 2023 NIRF report. As per the report, 55 BTech, 9 MTech, and 2 MBA students were placed during IK Gujral Punjab Technical University placements 2022. The median package for BTech stood at INR 4.50 LPA. For M.Tech and MBA courses, the median package stood at INR 3 LPA and INR 2.70 LPA, respectively.
