The various processes involved in JoSAA 2026 counselling are registration, choice filling, seat allocation, and online reporting. JoSAA counselling is conducted for admission to BE/B.Tech courses are offered by the IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. JoSAA counselling 2026 will be conducted online in five rounds. The institute offers Merit-cum-Means Scholarship to a maximum of 25% of the sanctioned intake of UG and MSc students. Facilities of Free Messing is also available to SC/ ST students under which they get an exemption from paying the tuition fees. The students whose gross income of parents for the previous financial year is not more than INR 5 LPA are eligible to apply for Remission of fees. EWS students can also apply for full remission provided their parental income is less than INR 1 Lacs per annum. Step 1: IIT Bombay BTech Application Process 2025
BTech and BTech (Dual Degree) aspirants must fill out the application form for JEE (Main) through the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) (nta.ac.in).
Step 2: Entrance Exams
Candidates need to first qualify JEE Main followed by JEE Advanced. Aspirants qualifying both the entrance-exams are required to register for Counselling.
Step 3: JoSAA Counselling & Seat Allotment
Shortlisted candidates after registering for JoSAA Counselling are offered seat. The seat allotment is conducted after the release of cutoff.
Candidates first need to fill out the application form. After filling out the application form, students are shortlisted based on GATE/ CSIR NET/ CEED/ UGC NET/ Entrance Exam score. The shortlisted candidates are then further called for a personal interview round.

IIT Bombay offers admission to various PG courses on the various exams. MSc course is offered through IIT JAM. For the General All India category students, the last round closing ranks were between 17 and 40.
IIT Bombay GATE COAP cutoff 2024 were between scores 325 and 650, for the General AI category candidates.

No—admission to IIT Bombay is not possible through JEE Main alone. JEE Main is only the qualifying stage. There is no cut-off of JEE Main for admission to IIT Bombay. JEE Main is only used to qualify for JEE Advanced.
