Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) offers several scholarships both at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels which are based on the financial situation of the students or their academic performances. A programme-wise split of IIT Delhi scholarships are mentioned in the table given below:

Scholarship for SC/ ST/ PwD Students

- Offered tuition fee exemption and other benefits

- Given to SC/ ST/ PwD students irrespective of their parents’/ guardians’ income

Donor Scholarship

- Offered through grants received from different individuals, trusts and organisations

Institute Merit-cum-Means Scholarships

- Offered INR 1,000 per month and tuition fee exemption

- Open for 25% of students admitted under UG level in the Engineering & Technology stream

- Parental income must not exceed INR 4.50 lakh

Institute Merit Prizes and Certificates

- Offered a one-time award of INR 2,500

- Given to the top 7% of students of each four-year BTech and five-year dual degree

PG Programmes

Scholarship for MSc students

- Offered INR 1,000 per month and tuition fee exemption

- Open for 25% of students admitted to the MSc programme

- Parental income must not exceed INR 4.5 lakh

Scholarship for MTech, MS (Research) and MDes students

- Fellowships and scholarships instituted by industries and individuals are offered

Scholarship for PhD students

- Offered to students admitted on a full-time basis

- Offered Teaching/ Research Assistantship, provided they are not getting any other equivalent fellowship

I would say getting admitted to this college is one of the best experiences in your whole life.

Placements: Placements are about 95% of the total students admitted to your course. The highest package in placements is 35 LPA, average is 13 LPA, and minimum is 9 LPA. Many of the best companies such as GE and Siemens recruit at this college. 80% of students got internships. Roles offered in design and operations.

I am decently satisfied with the campus life.

Placements: 80% of students in Production and Industrial Engineering are placed during the 2024 placement season. The average package during placements is around 20 to 25 LPA. Students are placed in both core and non-core job roles, such as consultancy, finance, product management, etc.

Great research environment with helpful faculty members and good campus life.

Placements: Around 50% of students got placed. The highest package was 22 LPA, the lowest was 6 LPA, and average salary was 12 LPA. Recruiting companies were Microsoft, DRDO, and Tata. 40% of students got internships in research labs and startups. Roles offered were research analyst, data scientist, and R&D engineer.

I am absolutely satisfied because of the quality of food and good placements.

Placements: About 85% of students get placed. The highest package is 2 crores per annum, and the lowest package is 12 LPA. The average package is 45 LPA. Recruit companies for our course are consultancies, construction companies, manufacturing firms, etc. More than 85% of students got internships in various companies like Air India, Microsoft, Texas Instruments, and Goldman Sachs. Top roles like energy and environment technocrat, energy and environment engineer, etc., are offered here.

Placements: About 75-80% placed in my course. The average package is 25 LPA. The highest was around 45 LPA. Experience of IIT Delhi 2024.

Placements: The internship opportunities we are given are the best in India. As students, we can opt for internships at any company with respective fields of interest, with a great stipend of 100,000 to 400,000. Students get eligible for internships after the 2nd semester, and for job placements, they are eligible after the 7th semester. The percentage of students getting placed is seventy to eighty percent. My plan is to excel in this degree.

Yes, there are fee waiver for family income less than 6 Lacs and it depends on category too, if you are from backward caste with less income, you will get 60-100% fee waiver and scholarships.

The fees for IITD is around 1.75 lacs for B.Tech but there are scholarships for the non-creamy layer of the society.

Yes, if anyone get a seat through counseling after GATE exam in any college he/she will get a stipend. So whether it is IIT or NIT you will get stipend. All the best.
