IISc Bangalore BSc Eligibility & Highlights 2025
IISc offers a four-year BSc (Research) programme divided into eight semesters. IISc Bangalore BSc is an interdisciplinary programme that covers the disciplines of Engineering, Social Sciences, and Humanities and a one-year research project. The final two semesters are dedicated exclusively to a research project. A total of six major disciplines are offered by Bachelor of Science (Research): Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Environmental Science, Materials, Mathematics, and Physics. Ideally, it is a ten-semester course (Optional). Students who opt for the Master of Science programme will take advanced courses and carry out a research project in the fifth year. IISc Bangalore BSc course admission is based on the entrance exam. IISc Bangalore admission process commences with an online application process. Candidates can apply for the same through the official website of the Institute. The application fees for the same begins from INR 250 (ST/SC/PWD) and goes upto INR 500 (General/OBC/ KM). For a successful application submission, candidates can access the official website or collect a form from the campus directly. The steps to be followed for the online IISc Bangalore BSc application form are as follows:
1.1: Visit the online admissions portal at https://admissions.iisc.ac.in, and click on the UG course programme or UG programme
1.2: Students must first register on the admissions portal by clicking on “New user to register click here”
1.3: Register by providing your name, date of birth and email address.
1.4: Make sure that your name and date of birth match your degree certificates. You cannot change these values later.
1.5: Make sure you have access to the email address. The candidate cannot change the email address later. All email communications regarding admissions will be sent to this email address.
1.6: Once you register will receive an email from the official website with a link to confirm your email address. Candidates can log into the portal to apply through the active link provided.

2: Selection Process
The applicants are shortlisted for admission based on scores in the accepted exam. IISc Bangalore accepts JEE Main, JEE Advanced, IISER Entrance Exam, and NEET scores for admission. 3: Counselling
On completion of the selection procedure, selected students are called for counselling. In this round, document verification and seat allotment procedures are carried out.
