According to JMI Entrance Exam pattern, an MCQ question for which more than one response is marked on OMR sheet will be considered incorrect. So, candidates should solve the questions separately on space given for rough work, and then mark the answer on OMR sheet to avoid such errors. 

No marks will be deducted for unanswered questions in JMI entrance exam. Such questions will not be taken into consideration while calculating JMI score. So, if candidates are not sure about the answer of a question, it is better not to answer instead of guessing, to avoid negative marking. As per exam pattern for JMI entrance exam 2026 for MBA, there are three sections in question paper. These are Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and English. The JMI question paper includes 170 objtective type questions and candidates will get three hours to complete exam. Examinees have to mark the correct answer in OMR sheet. There is also a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.

As per JMI exam pattern, there is negative marking in Multiple Choice Questions in JMI entrance exam. For every incorrect answer, 0.25 mark will be deducted and 1 marks will be awarded for every correct answer. 

Jamia Millia Islamia offers Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Admission to this course is done through JMI Entrance Exam. Candidates who qualify the written test and meet the cut off declared by the university are called for counselling. The exam pattern for B.A. Political Science is such that it consists of four sections: English, General Awareness, Reasoning and Social Awareness. Around 100 multiple choice questions are asked from all the sections. There is no sectional time limit in this exam but there is a provision of negative marking. For each wrong answer, 0.25 marks are deducted as penalty. However, no marks are deducted for unattempted questions. The duration of the exam is 1 hour 30 minutes. Candidates are required to prepare well in advance to clear the JMI Entrance Exam.

No, there is no time limit to solve a section in JMI Entrance Exam. The total duration of the exam varies according to the course. Hence, on an average, candidates will get around five minutes for each MCQ. Candidates must keep a tab on the timing as JMI Exam is a time-pressed exam. Before the exam day, candidates are advised to prepare a time management strategy wherein a particular timing should be assigned for each section or subject. They must also note that they will not be given any extra time to complete the exam, nor will they be allowed to take breaks in between or leave before time.
