JMI Entrance Exam 2025 - Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) is conducting JMI Counselling 2025 for admission to various courses offered through the JMI entrance exam. The university updated the merit list on October 03, 2025. Candidates with their application number in the preferred course can proceed to the next step in the JMI admission process 2025.
The university conducted JMI Entrance Exam 2025 from April 26, 2025, to May 31 for UG, PG, DIP, ADP, PGD, and CER programmes. The final result was released on July 11, 2025, for all courses. Candidates who appeared for the JMI entrance exam can check their status in provisional merit lists for their respective courses at admission.jmi.ac.in.
The JMI admission cut offs and provisional lists are being released on the official website. JMI also accepts JEE, NATA, CUET, and NEET scores for relevant courses. Those who take CUET for these programmes do not have to appear for the JMI Entrance Exam. However, they do have to apply for admission on JMI's website. Those examinees who make it on the merit lists will be called for interviews or counselling rounds based on their respective programmes.

What is the JMI Entrance Exam?
Jamia Millia Islamia conducts JMI Entrance Exam once every year for admissions to UG and PG courses offered by the university along with PG Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Diploma, MPhil, PhD, and certificate courses under various faculties/ departments/ centres such as Engineering, Architecture & Planning, Hospitality & Travel, Animation, Mass Communication, Humanities & Social Sciences, Languages, Commerce, Natural Sciences, Dentistry, Law, Fine Arts, Management Studies as well as Teaching & Education.

- For BTech: Admission to the B.Tech program of Jamia Millia Islamia is based on the final rank of JEE (Main) that is conducted by the National Test Agency (NTA). To be admitted to the BTech programme of JMI, candidates who fill out the online form for JEE Main 2025 must fill out the online Application Form of Jamia Millia Islamia separately at www.jmicoe.in.
- For B.Arch: Similarly, candidates need to clear the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture, fill out the admission form for JMI and enter the NATA application number in the JMI form. The rank list is published based on the final rank secured in NATA, strictly as per merit and JMI Admission Policy. During the counselling sessions, candidates must bring the NATA scorecard for admission to the B.Arch program at JMI.
- For BDS: Admissions to the B.D.S. program at JMI are based on the rank secured in NEET conducted by NTA. Candidates must choose Jamia Millia Islamia with the appropriate reservation category in the NEET application form. No separate form is required to be filled out at JMI or their website by the candidates.
- For Ph.D:: The schedule of admission tests for the Ph.D. program is notified separately.

The eligibility criteria for each course is different. Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria before applying for the Jamia Millia Islamia Entrance Exam. For Undergraduate course, candidates must have passed Intermediate with at least 50 per cent marks from any board and for Masters course, graduate degree with at least 50 per cent marks from any recognised university is required.
Tie-breaking is a policy which is adopted to break the tie in case two candidates get the same scores in the JMI entrance exam.
In all courses except BTech, BArch, BDS, the tie is resolved on basis of date of birth that is the candidates older in age is given the higher rank. Candidates had to provide the academic details such as class 12 board/university name, year of passing, marks obtained, college name, division/grade, total marks and percentage for UG level program, and the details of class 12 and graduation for PG level program. Candidates whose results are awaited should be selected on the 'result awaited' check box. After that candidates had to upload the original marksheet of the last passing year/ semester.

Students who successfully fill out the application forms are issued JMI Entrance Exam admit cards a week before the exam dates. The exam body also notifies applicants about the JMI Entrance Exam admit cards via SMS on the registered numbers. It is mandatory that the applicants carry their admit cards to the exam centres or else they won't be permitted to take the exam.
Once the candidates download their admit cards, they have to take a printout and paste their self-attested passport-size recent coloured photograph in the space provided.
