CUET PG 2024 exam dates for the academic session 2024-2025 announced by the examination conducting body, NTA. CUET PG 2024 examination is scheduled to be held 11 March to 28 March, 2024. The Examination Specific details will be informed to candidates through the Information Bulletin of examination.

CUET PG 2024 online registration is expected to start in the first of January, 2024. Prior to that NTA or UGC Chairman will notify earlier about the starting of CUET PG 2024 application form and other dates information via press release or by tweet.

Before applying to the online application process, CUET PG aspirants are advised to check the eligibility criteria for all the respectives like age limit criteria, course enrolment specific criteria, nationality and other important minimal eligibility criteria. The examination will be held for the graduates to get enrolled for various masters degree like MSc, MA, MBA, MTech etc., in various central universities or particiapting universities under the CUET PG 2023 examination.

What is CUET PG?

Central University Entrance Test (Postgraduate) or CUET PG is an all-India level entrance exam which is being introduced for admission into PG programmes in Central and participating Universities. The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) will provide a common platform and equal opportunities to candidates across the country, especially those from North East and from rural and other remote areas and help to establish better connect with the Universities. A single Examination will enable the Candidates to cover a wide outreach and be part of the admissions process to various Central Universities. 

The number of exam centres in India for CUET PG 2023 has been reduced. Now the exam centres for CUET PG 2023 examination in India are 313 which was 554 centres last year. However, the number of exam centres outside India has been increased. Now the exam centres outside India are 24, which was just 13 last year. CUET PG 2024 exam centre details will be notified later. The exam will be conducted in a computer-based mode for two hours. Till last year, the exam was known as Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET). Prior to 2021, UGC used to conduct the test in a paper-pencil-based mode.

Q:   When will the CUET PG 2024 notification release?

A:

UGC Chairman Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar has shared in his latest tweet about the CUET PG Exam dates for the academic session 2024-2025. The examination is scheduled to be conducted between March 11 to March 28, 2023. 

Aspirants preparing for CUET PG examination can expect the release of CUET PG 2024 notification by NTA in the last week December, 2023 or First week of Januray, 2024. The examination will be held for the graduates to get enrolled for various masters degree like MSc, MAMBAMTech etc., in various central universities or particiapting universities under the CUET PG 2023 examination.

Q:   What is the role of NTA in the CUET PG examination?

A:

NTA which is known as National Testing Agency is the examination conducting body of CUET PG examination. The Role of NTA is confined to registration of candidates, conduct of the test, hosting of answer key, inviting challenges, finalising Answer Keys, preparing and declaring result and hosting Score Card. Merit list will be prepared by participating Universities/ organisations. Universities may conduct their individual counselling on the basis of the score card of CUET (PG)-2023 provided by NTA. 

Q:   What is the age limit to apply for CUET PG examination?

A:

For appearing in the CUET PG examination there is no age limit for the candidates. The candidates who have passed the
bachelor degree/equivalent examination or appearing in 2023 irrespective of their age can appear in CUET (PG) 2023
examination. However, the candidates will be required to fulfill the age criteria of the University in which they are desirous of taking admission. 

As the eligibility criteria for admission may be unique for every University, the candidates are advised to visit the University website to which they are applying for their respective programs

Q:   How is CUET PG examination monitored at the exam centres?

A:

• A Central Control Room was opened to monitor and facilitate the smooth conduct of the Examination on the ground. 02 National Coordinators, 19 Regional Coordinators, 303 City Coordinators, 1083 Observers, and 162 Deputy Observers were deployed.

• Live CCTV Surveillance was planned in all examination centres to curb malpractices in the examination. The NTA also made arrangements for live viewing of remote locations of all examination centres from the Control Room located in the NTA premises of New Delhi. Recording of CCTV Systems was also done.

• The examination centres were also monitored using AI-based Video Analytics and Virtual Observers.

• In order to stop cheating using mobile networks, Jammers were installed in all the Centres.

CUET PG 2024 Admission Process

The CUET PG admission process can be divided into five steps. The admission process begins with filling up the application form and ends with counselling or final admission. The steps for CUET PG 2024 admission process is given in the infographic below.

CUET PG 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Providing Reservation relaxation to the weaker categories of CUET PG 2024 aspirants helps them to avail themselves of the reservation, including comparatively lower application fees, cutoff marks, and course/admission fees. Indian Nationals belonging to certain categories are admitted under the seats reserved for them in accordance with the rules prescribed by the Government of India. Candidates must note that the benefit of reservation will be given to them subject to verification of documents. If it is discovered at any stage that a candidate has used a false/fake /incorrect document, or has furnished false, incorrect, or incomplete information, in order to avail the benefit of reservation, then such a candidate shall be excluded from all admission processes. In case such a candidate has already been given admission, the admission shall stand cancelled.

CUET PG 2024 Category wise Seat Relaxation

The categories and the extent of reservation are as follows:

Note-

  •  Candidates with at least 40% impairment irrespective of the type of disability shall be eligible for the benefits of the PwD category.
  • Leprosy-cured candidates who are otherwise fit to pursue the courses are also included in this category.
  • Candidates with less than 40% disability, but difficulty in writing, as prescribed by the Competent Authority, are also included in this category. 

Documents Required For Claiming CUET PG 2024 Reservation Relaxation

Below are the list of important documents which are required to be present at the time of application process and counselling process for various categories, so that the aspirants can avail the catergory relaxation at various stages in the CUET PG 2024 Admisison process:

For Candidates claiming to the GEN-EWS category

GEN-EWS certificate needs to be uploaded in the Online Application Form of CUET (PG) – 2024 which should have been issued on or after 01 April 2022 in consonance with the latest guidelines of the Government of India. If any GEN-EWS candidate fails to submit the GEN-EWS certificate (issued on or after01 April 2022) at the time of online registration, the candidate has to upload a declaration [Declaration in Lieu of Gen-EWS Certificate at Annexure-IB of the CUET PG 2024 Brochure] to that effect.

For Candidates claiming to the OBC-NCL category 

OBC-NCL certificate (Annexure-IIA of the information brochure of CUET PG 2024) needs to be uploaded in the Online Application Form of CUET (PG) – 2024 which should have been issued on or after 01 April 2023, in consonance with the latest guidelines of the Government of India.

For Candidates claiming to the SC or ST category 

Caste (for SC) or tribe (for ST) certificate (Annexure III of the CUET PG 2024 Information brochure) needs to be uploaded in the Online Application Form of CUET (PG) – 2024, as per the latest guidelines of the Government of India. 

Q:   Nationality rules to be followed by Indian Citizens before filling up CUET PG Application form?

A:

To get eligible in the CUET Exam, aspirants must abide by the following citizenship rules:

  • The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
  • A constituent subject of Nepal, Bhutan
  • A Tibetan refugee who landed in India before 1 January 1962 to make India their permanent home and reside there permanently.
  • Pakistanis, Burmese, Sri Lankans, Kenyans, Ugandans, Tanzanians, Zambians, Malawians, Zaireans, Ethiopians, and people from Vietnam who permanently moved to India.

The subject in which admission is sought must be Hons subject at BSc (Hons) level/a subject studied in all the three years at Graduate level.
MSc Computer ScienceBSc (Hons)/ BSc under 10 2 3 pattern securing a minimum of 50 percent marks in the aggregate in Science subjects (considering all the three years of BSc Course). The subject in which admission is sought must be Honos subject at BSc (Hons) level/a subject studied in all the three years at Graduate level.
MSc MathematicsBSc (Hons)/B A (Hons)/BSc/B A under 10 2 3 pattern securing a minimum of 50 percent marks in the aggregate considering all the three years of BSc/B A Courses). The candidate must have studied Mathematics Hons. or studied subject Mathematics in the all the three years at Graduate level. For BSc (Hons)/BSc only Science subjects and for BA (Hons)/B A all subjects except those subjects where only pass marks are required and which do not contribute to the total in the final (degree) mark sheet.
MSc PhysicsBSc (Hons)/ BSc under 10 2 3 pattern securing a minimum of 50 percent marks in the aggregate in Science subjects (considering all the three years of BSc Course). The subject in which admission is sought must be Hons subject at BSc (Hons) level/a subject studied in all the three years at Graduate level.

CUET PG 2024 Application Form

CUET PG 2024 Application form is expected to be released online by NTA on the official website of the exam web page in the third week of March. Candidates can fill CUET application form in online mode on the official website- link will e provided after the release of CUET PG application form. The first step is to register by entering the basic details such as name, address and contact details. This will generate login credentials. The CUET (Common University Entrance Test) for postgraduate (PG) programs typically included specific time slots or schedules for different courses or disciplines. The schedule was organized in a way that allowed candidates to appear for the CUET PG exam for their chosen course at the designated time.

The duration of the CUET (Common University Entrance Test) PG 2024 examination has been set same for all the master's degree programme, which is three hours. CUET PG 2024 Examination will be conducted in different phases across the country and at foreign CUET PG 2024 exam centres from March 11 to March 28, 2028. NTA, the examination conducting body will release the CUET PG 2024 Admit cards in different phases depending on the schedule of the commencement of the particular exam subject.

The candidates are advised to carefully read the Subject-Specific Instructions and other instructions mentioned in the Question paper and abide by the same. There are some candidates who have not received their Admit Card for the above dates will get the same in subsequent phases.

CUET PG 2023 Exam dates got extended from June 17 to June 23 to June 27 and June 30, 2023. The CUET PG 2023 Admit Card for the subsequent CUET PG 2023 exams made live prior to one or two days before the commencement of the examination. The CUET-PG Admit Card 2023 for Phase 2 (June 9 to June 11) along with the city intimation slip were released on June 7. The Phase 1 CUET PG 2023 admit card was releaed on June 3. Q:   What to do if there is a discrepancy in CUET-PG 2023 admit card?

A:
In case of any discrepancy in the particulars of the candidate or his/her photograph and signature shown on the CUET-PG 2023 admit card, candidates should immediately approach the NTA Help Line between 10.00 A. M. and 5.00 P. M. NTA mentions, "In such a case, the candidate would appear in the examination with the already downloaded Admit Card. However, NTA will take necessary action to make corrections in the record later. " Hence, candidates need not worry about the possibility of not getting allowed inside the CUET 2023 exam centre. However, they must follow up with NTA before the commencement of the admission process.

Q:   Is the CUET-PG admit card available offline?

A:
No. Candidates will have to download the CUET-PG 2023 admit card online. The admit card will not be sent to the candidate via mail, post or courier. Hence, as and when the admit card is released, candidates will have to visit the official website of the exam, log in with their registration credentials and download the document in PDF format. They must also ensure that they download the admit card immediately after release and not wait for the last moment. This may lead to a number of inconveniences such as internet connectivity or server related problems, wrong information on the CUET-PG 2023 admit card, lack of planning for exam centre commute, to name a few.

CUET PG 2024 Test Centres

The Test Centres of CUET PG 2024 are expected to be located in 313 cities across India and abroad. As many as 24 international cities have been chosen by NTA (for 2023 examination), candidates can expect more exam centres for the academic session 2024-2025. Candidates will have to select as many as two test cities while filling out the application form for CUET PG 2024 in preferential order. The application fee will also vary as per the selection of the Indian and international Test Centres of CUET PG 2024. Once the test centre is allotted in the admit card, candidates' requests to change the test city will not be entertained. However, NTA has the right to change the test centre of CUET PG 2024 depending on external factors. NTA will also release an advance city intimation slip for candidates before releasing of the admit card.

Q:   How to select CUET-PG exam City?

A:
Candidates will have to select the CUET UG 2023 exam centre city while filling the application form. They will have to enter as many as two exam cities in preferential order. NTA will try to allot the exam centre according to candidates preference. However, the final decision would be the exam authorities. Candidates had to follow the steps given below to select the exam city of CUET-PG 2023: 1. Visit the CUET-PG 2023 website. 2. In the Exam City preference section of the CUET 2023 application form, select two cities in preferential order. 3. Complete the application process by paying the requisite application fee. The exam city preference can be changed during the application correction window.

Last year, the total number of international cities where CUET-PG exam centres were located was 14. This year, the number has increased to 24. Q:   What are the non-permissible items at CUET-PG 2023 exam centres?

A:
The following items or objects will not be allowed to be carried to the CUET-PG 2023 exam centres. 1. Stationery items such as test-based material (written/printed), papers, notes, Pencil box, pouches, geometry box, pen, scale/ruler, eraser, etc. 2. Electronic devices such as calculators, cameras, electronic pens, scanners, etc. 3. Accessories such as bags, belts, caps, goggles, wallets, etc. 4. Devices used for communication such as mobile phones, smart watches, Bluetooth, fitness bands, earphones, pager, etc. 5. Eatables (packed or home-cooked), thermos, etc.

CUET PG 2024 Analysis

CUET PG 2024 Examiantion is scheduled to be held from March 11 to March 28, 2024. Since the examination is yet to commence, CUET PG 2024 analysis is not provided here. For reference candidates can check the CUET PG previous year's analysis.

Till June 27 of the examination, it has been observed that the NTA has set the CUET PG 2023 question paper of merely all the subjects as moderate. As asked by the candidates who appeared in the examination today, students responded that CUET PG Analysis for Section A was easy to attempt. The questions on Language Comprehension had questions from unseen passages. Many questions were asked from the General Knowledge domain. Section B is subject-specific, therefore the difficulty level varies from subject to subject. Overall the difficulty level of CUET PG 2023 exam is found to be moderate.

CUET PG 2023 examination has started on June 5, 2023. The CUET 2023 analysis is being provided after each slot or shift of the exam. CUET PG 2023 exam is being conducted for multiple subjects and streams in three slots each day. CUET PG analysis of the first slot of June 5, 2023, the difficulty level of the various subject papers of CUET PG 2023 exam was found to be easy to moderate. The difficulty level will vary for each subject and topic. Students have termed the General Test to be of easy level of difficulty, whereas the Specific subject test was moderate to dicfficult . Although no technical glitches were reported from the centres till Slot 1, in some of the CUET centres.

The Language Test and General Test sections were of easy to moderate levels. Students are advised to check the last year's CUET PG student reactions below.

CUET PG 2023  Student Reactions

Q:   What is the exam analysis for Section A of CUET PG examination?

A:

CUET PG 2023 Section 1 or the General section was found to be easy to moderate by maximum number of candidates in the examination centres. The questions were on Language Comprehension had questions from unseen passages.The questions were based on Reading Comprehension and the types of questions were direct from the passage, and others were vocabulary and synonym-antonym, idioms and phrases and basic grammatical based.

In Verbal Ability, some basic and simple questions were asked from Spotting errors, blood relationships, sentence equivalence and many more. Some other questions were asked from analytical skills and from GK section.

Q:   What is CUET PG Chemistry subject exam analysis?

A:

Section B analysis of chemistry paper, as per the students review the CUET PG 2023 Chemistry exam was found to be moderately difficult. Candidates could expect the lower cut-off as compared to last year's cut-off. Questions were asked from physical chemistry, organic chemistry and inorganic chemistry.

CUET PG 2024 Answer key

NTA is expected to release CUET PG 2024 Provisional Answer Key in the second week of April. CUET PG answer keys 2024 will be announced for all the CUET PG exam papers along with the candidate responses. Test-takers will also get the opportunity to raise objections against CUET PG 2024 provisional answer keys. The fee to submit an objection against each answer key will be INR 200

CUET PG 2024 Final Answer Key will be released for all the subjects for which the CUET PG 2024 examination will be conducted in the fourth week of April, 2024. The final answer key announced by the NTA can not be further challenged.

Candidates may calculate the probable score by matching the response sheet and CUET final answer key.

For the academic year 2023-2024, candidates must note that the authority has dropped 562 questions from all papers taken together. As per the marking scheme, if a question is dropped due to some technical error, full marks will be awarded to all the candidates irrespective of the fact who have attempted the question or not.
