Admission is based on scores in the Kashmir University Entrance Exam. Aspirants can apply by filling out the application form and submitting it on time at the university admission office. Further, before form filling, students must check the minimum eligibility criteria carefully and shall have the relevant documents as well.

The university distance education course is recognised by the University Grants Commission and Distance Education Bureau. 

The application form can be downloaded from the university website (kashmiruniversity.net). The hardcopy of the filled-out application along with INR 750 including IT fee (non-refundable) fee payment receipt and a copy of important documents has to be sent to the Office of the College Development Council.

 The course is of a two-year duration. It can be completed in three to four years at maximum.

The University of Kashmir, South Campus, accepts candidates for its B.Ed. programme through an entrance exam conducted by the university itself. The eligibility requirements include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant fields, with specific marks thresholds depending on the category.

A total of 9 courses are offered across various specialisations. The total seat intake for all the programmes is 577.

For courses like MBA, M Pharma, BTech and MTech, you have to submit your CMAT, GPAT, JEE Mains and GATE scores. For other courses you have to give a separate entrance exam conducted by the University and based on your merit you will get admission.

The last date to apply for admission to the University of Kashmir for the 2024–2025 academic year is November 25, 2024. Admission is based on entrance test scores and merit scores from qualifying exams. Students who took the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) can also apply.
