Excellent college; I love it.

Placements: Our college provides better placement after completion of the course, and always thinks about the students. Our placement cell always looks towards the better companies. Our college is the best for giving placement to the students. They provide good opportunities for us.

Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure is very well maintained and clean. Many workers look after the hygiene system. They clean floors every day. There are ACs inbuilt, and every classroom is neat and clean. There is also Wi-Fi available in our college.

Faculty: In our college, teachers are very helpful to us, they always teach us discipline. Teachers are very kind and funny. They treat us as their own child. We are so thankful to them. Our college exam system is very good and easy as it requires very little study.

Other: I am pursuing a BBA in marketing as I am very glad that I am a student of Islamia College.

It has good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: I am a student of batch 2023 and I did graduation in the year 2026. About 30% of students get in our course. The salary offered in our course is Rs. 45,000 per month.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good. Facilities are available in our college like Wi-Fi, smart boards, and the library. Facilities are very good. The food quality is not good and the quantity is not enough. There is self-service in our college.

Faculty: The teaching quality is very good because teachers are very helpful. They help in every exam and the semester exams are good. The pass percentage is medium. It makes students aware of daily events. They help students by conducting industrial visits to know how business is operated.

Other: I chose this course because I want to do business. It is a very good course because it changes our mentality and helps us to know the factors that are very helpful in doing business in present times.

Review of SSM College of Engineering.

Placements: In 2020, I joined SSM College of Engineering to pursue a business management course. That year, 30-40 students were placed in jobs, and they were all exceptional and talented. However, most of them dropped out, resulting in the student retention rate dropping to 40%. Unfortunately, there are very few companies in Kashmir that offer placement opportunities.

Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good, with separate buildings for different departments. The classrooms are neat and clean, each having a capacity of 70 students. The college also offers a well-stocked library where we can thoroughly read and enhance our knowledge. Additionally, the quality of the hostel mess is satisfactory, and various sports activities are available on campus.

Faculty: Faculty members are good. Their behavior towards students is good. They listen and fulfill the needs of students. The teaching quality is fabulous. They help a lot in studies. The curriculum activities are also good. Exams are hard. The pass percentage is 33%.

Other: I chose this course because I love business studies and in the future, I am going to open a business and become a good businessman.

Not very satisfied with the college and it can do more to improve. Thank you.

Placements: So I am pursuing my degree in commerce at Islamia College of Science and Commerce, Hawal Srinagar. The commerce stream has the most students in our college compared to other streams. So for the internship, the college doesn't provide you the allotment but instead you yourself have to find an internship, which is mandatory in your final semester as it contains marks.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are pretty big and good. The library is also good and the department of commerce isn't that good as compared to other departments in the college. The hostels are also available. The canteen has a limited variety of food, so I prefer to bring lunch from home. For medical facilities, a dispensary is also available and you can play games in the ground.

Faculty: Each teacher is different; some teachers are really good at their job but some are not. In our semester-end exam, we need a 75% attendance rate; then we have to give term exams and if we qualify for term exams then only we are allowed to sit for final exams; after that you have to give internals for the commerce department.

Other: I chose this course to learn more about commerce, which I think is best because it provides you with vast information. They should give relation in terms of exams as we are under pressure all the time. Events and fests do happen. Scholarships are not given.

Dissatisfaction over the satisfaction

Placements: We are 60 students in total. The highest was 3-4 LPA. I read it from the website I don't know about the reality but through seniors I got to know that they only provide placements to selective students like if there are 60, only 7-8 can get placements depending upon the record. They have made of themselves with placement officer and with other head faces. Wipro, SBI that I've heard from the sources of website that hire from our campus. Just 20% students got internship. Nothing I have heard about the roles they offered in our course.

Infrastructure: Except the infrastructure and teaching staff , rest are good there. They have kept our classroom in the storeroom that's basically the zero floor of the library. Talking about the canteen and other facilities that a University should have, are all above average, except our classroom infrastructure and faculty performance.

Faculty: Few teachers are good rest are I guess are useless to teach management. They don't know the ethics about how to treat students. Talking about our curriculum it's still as it was before 10 years. It has not updated yet so I think we cannot relate it to the present industry evolution or like such sort of. So you can see how sleepy management they are in.

Other: It was fancy to pronounce "I'm doing imba " so I chose it. They conduct fest events very well

One of the best universities to pursue courses in kashmir because of the infrastructure

Placements: I am from the 2024 batch and i have got this placement information from the placement officer himself. The highest package was : 17 LPA. Lowest package was: 4 LPA. Average package : 8 LPA. Top companies are Bajaj Finance, Wipro etc. Roles offered are manager, Financial executive.

Infrastructure: Good infrastructure is there. Wifi is available and a big library for studying and grabbing books is also available (sir syed iqbal library). Hostels have a good infrastructure and sports facilities are also available. Good medical facilities are available a proper health center is present.

Faculty: Most of the teachers are PHD'S and are very knowledgeable and the quality of teaching is very high. The curriculum is according to the NEP which makes the student industry ready. Semester exams are of moderate level and 30% is the pass percentage.

Other: I chose this course because in future i want to run a business and the best thing about this course is that it teaches us how to handle the venture and the internships provided by the university helps us get the practical knowledge of it. Fests happen continuously and the campus crowd is very good and friendly. Scholarship are available. And i myself am a sports player and the university gives me a push to perform more and help me out in the training sessions.
