The basic eligibility criteria is that the applicant must have passed Class 12 and a certificate or UG course in the respective specialisation from a recognised organisation to be eligible. The University of Kerala PG Diploma category-wise eligibility requirements (CGPA) are mentioned below:

1. Eligibility for General category: CGPA of 2 or above in a 4 - point scale, 3.5 or above in a 7 -point scale or 5 or above in a 10-point scale.
2. Relaxation for candidates from SC/ST category: CGPA of 1.8 or above in a 4-point scale or, 3.15 or above in a 7-point scale or, 4.5 or above in a 10-point scale.
3. SEBC Category: CGPA of 1.92 or above in a 4-point scale or, 3.36 or above in a 7-point scale or, 4.8 or above in a 10-point scale
4. Persons with Disability Category: CGPA of 1.8 or above in a 4-point scale or, 3.15 or above in a 7-point scale or, 4.5 or above in a 10-point scale.

Kerala University conducts two batches for PG Diploma course in Russian language. The morning batch is from 7.30 AM to 9.00 AM on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday and the evening batch from 5.00 PM to 6.30 PM on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. Candidates can attend the classes as per their preference. Additionally, the schedule is also given to the candidates by the university and are informed in case of any alterations. Candidates seeking admission must have passed Class 12 and UG/ UG Diploma from recognised authorities to be eligible for the course. Eligible candidates can further fill out the application via online/ offline mode. To fill out the application online, candidates can visit the University of Kerala official website. Further, the university shortlist and allot seats to the candidates on the basis of merit in the in-house PG entrance examination. 

Yes, the aspirants of PG Diploma courses are required to take the PG Entrance Exam conducted by the office of CSSAC, University of Kerala. There is no provision for re-examination under any circumstances. The questions asked in the test are Multiple Choice Questions. In addition, negative marking is applicable and 0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong response. The response sheets are further either digitally checked or by an examiner's panel, which is approved by the Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor. Candidates can take the test by completing the application process by visiting the university website.
