The University of Kerala is known as one of the top state-run universities of the country. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has approved all the courses offered by KU. Moreover, it is also re-accredited by NAAC with an ‘A’ grade. Yes, the University of Kerala has separate hostels for both boys and girls. There are six hostels under the University of Kerala at Kariavattom campus and at Thycaud, Thiruvananthapuram. Two boys (PG & Research) and three girls (Two PG & One Research) hostel at Kariavattom Campus and one girl hostel at Vazhuthacaud. Also, the university provides an International Youth Hostel to cater to the temporary residential needs of the students and faculty.

Central University is a very good place to study because all faculty members are researchers. Faculties are very helpful when we ask for it and faculty interactions are satisfactory, Teachers are very friendly and knowledgeable.
