DM stands for Doctor of Medicine, which is a super-specialised course in the field of Medical. Candidates can only pursue this course after getting a PG degree in Medical. For admission to a three-year DM course at KGMU, aspirants must get a PG degree in either MD/ MS or any equivalent from a recognised institution recognised by Medical Council of India or State Medical Council. Admission to this course is entirely based on NEET SS entrance exam. The eligibility criteria for DM is standard for all NEET SS aspirants.

KGMU MD cutoff 2024 has been released for Round 1, wherein the most in-demand MD specialsiation was MD in Radio Diagnosis. The last-round closing rank for admission to the MD in Radio Diagnosis course was 143 for the General AI category students. The least important specialisation was Anatomy with a closing cutoff of 83112.
