MAKAUT department of food science and technology.

Placements: College provides internship opportunities for all the students at the end of the duration of the course but finding jobs is in your own hands, on how well you have made your connections via LinkedIn or through any other way. As I said before, the salary may vary from Rs 15,000 per month to Rs 50,000+ per month based on your experience and destination you have assigned to. All the students get internship opportunities. Some top roles are widely available in academics, food industries (executive, manager, etc., quality manager), food research scientist, and food business CEO.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available throughout the university campus. Labs are well-equipped. Specific classrooms have smart learning facilities, and library has a different building of 4-storey from which 1st floor assigned for just books and 4th floor assigned for reading room, it has 2 parts digital and normal. Hostel is quite clean and safe with 24-hour protection.

Faculty: Teachers of our department are very helpful and very qualified. This course makes industry ready with time after internships. Semester exams for me till now is not that difficult. All students passed with very few to no backlogs. But reading and gathering knowledge throughout the semester is very important.

Other: This course has potential because food is an all time in demand topic. I wish the knowledge and experiments were more vast, and labs were more equipped and secured.
