Great college for admission.
Placements: Almost all students of our college from the CSE, IT, ECE, and Electrical branches got placed. Our top recruiters are TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, and Accenture. The average package is 4 LPA and the maximum package this year is 29 LPA from Juspay. Software engineer roles are offered the most by companies. Companies look for internships before recruiting students.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure of our department and college are top-notch. Our full campus has free Wi-Fi for everyone. The classes, labs, and library are equipped with good resources like good PCs, software, smart board, projector, AC, etc. Unfortunately our college has no hostel of its own but a lot of flats, PGs, and mess are available near the college for residing.
Faculty: The teachers of our department and college are very helpful, frank, and supportive. They are good scholars and researchers of their respective fields and always help students with any of their doubts. The curriculum which is taught in the course makes you industry-ready. The exams are also taken based on this curriculum. If one studies for 2 hours daily they can easily pass the exams with a good CGPA.
Other: The campus has the best minds from all over India. We have different clubs that organise different fests, events throughout the year, like cultural fest, teach fest, freshers, and sports events. If you're planning to take admission in this college go for it because you will make good memories and pass with flying colours.

Bad placements, small college grounds, no hostel life, lack of ACs, decent faculty, and campus.
Placements: This year (2026) the placement statistics are very low like 30-40 percent. I heard from my seniors that these placements were low-paying like 3 LPA-4 LPA on average. Many big MNCs and companies like Google, Microsoft, and Amazon claim that they haven't come here since 4 years. Only mass hiring companies like TCS come. The thing is NSEC comes under Techno India Group. All the placements of these colleges happen together so we are competing with good colleges like Techno Main Salt Lake for placements. In conclusion I would say placements are bad here.
Infrastructure: There are both positives and negatives to infrastructure. Positives are that we have a large number of classrooms, labs, and we have Wi-Fi, library, gym, and the canteen food is healthy. The negatives are our small college grounds, the gym I mentioned above is very small and basic level, and there are no hostels. Most classrooms don't have ACs. The thing is only the top floor of the office building accommodating the 4 classes O501 - O504 and labs has ACs installed. In the summer it's impossible to do classes most students don't come to attend classes. Although management has promised to install more ACs.
Faculty: The teachers are good here. The only thing bad about them is that 50 percent of teachers teach in Bengal and we have Bihar and Jharkhand students too here. I would say that the MAKAUT curriculum is old and outdated for the industry. The semester exams are unpredictable. This time it came easily for 1st year students but 25 percent of students still got backlogs in one or more than one subjects. Here the problem is not of teachers but of students. They don't attend classes the daily attendance is very poor like 15-20 out of 70 students in my section.
Other: Overall everything is decent and okay but if the placements go up after 2026 then this college can be a great place to come.

It is value-for-money college for studies.
Placements: The percentage of students placed in this course is around 98 percent. The highest package is around 28 LPA. The average package is around 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies that visit our college include TCS, Infosys, Deloitte, and EY. Around 80 percent of students get internships.
Infrastructure: All facilities are well maintained and work in very good condition. Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and library are all air-conditioned. Quality of facilities in the hostel is also very good compared to other colleges.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They are qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is much better compared to previous years. The course curriculum is also very relevant. Teachers help students prepare for semester exams by providing modules and previous years' question papers.
Other: I chose this course because it has a bright future. Best things that it not only gives us knowledge and teaches us what we learn. It also helps us engage in other activities.

Candidates need to visit the MAKAUT website and download the application form. Then fill out the application form and submit it along with the required documents. After this, candidates need to pay the application fee and appear for the MAKAUT entrance exam. Candidates who are selected will be issued an admission letter. MAKAUT offers safe and healthy environment for the students. The university provides modern amenities with state-of-the-art infrastructure to its students and is spread over an area of 40 acres of land at Haringhata, District Nadia, provided by the Government of West Bengal. The facilities provided by the university include sports, library, MAKAUT WB centers, etc. The university also has hostel facilities both for boys and girls with various facilities.

MAKAUT offers approximately over 80 UG, PG Diploma doctoral and Certificate courses across its seven schools and more than 100 UG and PG programmes via 196 affiliated colleges. All these programmes are offered in numerous streams, I. e. Engineering, Management, Science and Software & IT, among others. Additionally, for undergraduate programmes candidates need to pass Class 12 with a minimum of 45% aggregate.
MAKAUT Fee Breakup 2026
The MAKAUT fee structure includes various different components. Those are tuition fees, registration fees, security deposits and other fees. Students have to pay the fees as per the time prescribed in university guidelines. The total tuition fee is INR 9,000 - INR 2,40,300. One of the best B-schools in West Bengal.
Placements: Around 70–80 percent of students get placed. Companies like TCS, Wipro, EY, Cognizant, etc., visit to recruit students. Roles offered include sales, advertising, banking, and management.
Infrastructure: Classes are big and good, air-conditioned, and Wi-Fi is available. Everything works well in the college. The hostel is good. The canteen is decent. The food is average. Overall, the hostel facilities are decent and could be improved, but it is worth the fees.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and motivating. The teaching quality is very high. This course is relevant and makes students industry-ready. Exams are strict, and many exams are conducted every month so that students become more knowledgeable.
Other: I was interested in business and corporate life, so I chose BBA. Many events and fests in our college. This is a good course, anyone can pursue it. I like it, and the college is very good.

Overall, it is a good college. Placements are average and depend on the student.
Placements: Around 70% of students got placed. The highest package was around 25 LPA. The average package was 5 LPA. Companies like Wipro and TCS visit the campus. Around 50% of roles offered are HR, manager, and similar positions. If you want good placement, you should attend classes regularly and maintain at least 75 percent attendance, as this attracts companies. Maintaining a CGPA of 7.5 in all semesters shows discipline.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was well-maintained. Labs were great, classrooms were big, and the library was good. There was no hostel in Techno Main Salt Lake. The canteen was very good and maintained cleanliness and hygiene. Medical facilities were average. Students got exposure to sports and other extracurricular activities.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. They made students industry-ready and trained them through internships. Exams were moderate as they came under MAKAUT, and if students studied a bit, they could pass easily. Around 95% of students passed. Attendance was compulsory, and 75% attendance was required.

My review of the college FIEM.
Placements: Good placement percentage, like 80%. The highest package is 11 LPA, the lowest 2 LPA, and the average package is 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Cognizant, Capsitech, PWC, FBSPL, and startups. 100% got internships in Ardent, Euphoria GenX, and other places. Top role offered is an SDE Consultant Associate.
Infrastructure: Good facility and infrastructure with a ground-floor entrance with computer labs, accounts department and classroom. The library is good with chilled AC and Wi-Fi. All subject books are available. The food staff is good, and the behaviour of the canteen staff is good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, and they guide you well. They teach in a way that makes you industry-ready. The course taught is industry-relevant and helps students to get ready for company life. The guard given during the exam time is very tough. No one can turn their head and ask for answers.

Top recruiting companies were TCS, Cognizant, FBSPL, and Capsitech. 100% of the class got internships in Euphoria GenX. Top roles offered were SDE, Consultant, and Associate.
Infrastructure: The availability of the library, labs, classroom and Wi-Fi was always there. Anyone can choose to do it at any time they want to. The computer devices of the lab were effective, but they have improved a lot. The quality was really good. The canteen food was not so good, but it was easily available for students who live in the PG.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful. They guided well and taught well with practical and theoretical classes. Teaching quality was good. All were doctorates. The course curriculum was relevant to the real world and industry. It made us ready for industry purposes. It's really good. The exam's difficulty level was high as the guard given during the exam was much higher.

It is a legacy college in WB.
Placements: Most of the students get placed or opt for higher studies, except for a few. But it all depends on how you perform for the placements. The ones getting offers get multiple offers from different companies. TCS, Infosys and other industry giants mass-hire from the college.
Infrastructure: College has a doable infrastructure. It's improving. Not up to the mark till now. Classrooms may look outdated, but comfortable. Currently, it's improving. New labs are being made, and systems are being upgraded to accommodate the latest software. New clubs and agendas are being created.
Faculty: Faculty here are very experienced from prestigious institutions, and themselves have a great first-hand knowledge of the industry standards and expectations. They are well-versed in their domain and also have a great connection with the industry professionals.
Other: Extracurricular activities are also encouraged. Many different activities are held throughout the year, so that every talent of each student can be developed along with the technical studies. With new labs such as CDAC being added to the infrastructure and its increasing presence on the internet, the coming batches will see a great number of changes.
