Maters of Computer Application (MCA) - Batch of 2027

My experience with the MCA course and placements at MIT-WPU.
Placements: From my point of view, as an MCA student at MIT-WPU, my experience so far has been satisfactory. I believe the course will help me gain an understanding of both the practical and theoretical aspects of the IT industry. The college provides placement assistance. The interview preparation classes are beneficial. They help us gain confidence and develop good communication skills. Different companies offer opportunities to different students based on their knowledge and skill sets.
Infrastructure: The computers are fast. The internet connection is good. Students can work and practise software throughout the day. Classrooms are designed for learning and discussions. The main library has study rooms and access to online journals. The hostels have rooms with a continuous power supply and security. The mess serves healthy food. There are also many food stalls on campus. Medical assistance is available nearby. There are good fitness centres and sports groups to join.
Faculty: The teaching quality is strong. Professors emphasise lab work & real world applications. Curriculum stays in sync with market trends. It helps students prepare for roles in software development & testing. The exams are moderately difficult. They focus on practical logic rather than rote learning. With regular attendance and completion of lab tasks, students can achieve good results and pass exams with ease.
Other: Computer Applications programme is special because of its practical foundation & industry connections. Working on web applications and database systems provides real insight into software engineering workflows. I would like the syllabus to reduce theoretical assignments. This would allow more time for portfolio building and open-source contributions. Outside the classroom, campus environment is vibrant & friendly. It brings together students from across the country. The surrounding Kothrud area is student-friendly and well-connected by transport. It also has many popular cafes and study spots. MIT-WPU is a great college overall.

B.Des. in Product Design - Batch of 2027
Offered by School of Design, MIT WPU
4.6
4.0Placements5.0Infrastructure5.0Faculty5.0Crowd & Campus Life4.0Value for Money
My experience with Product Design at MIT-WPU.
Placements: For internships and placements, the college provides guidance on how to create a portfolio that is good enough for well-established design companies, but I think students have to take responsibility for building their own portfolio and skills. The college provides opportunities, but ultimately your work and how you present it matter a lot in design.
Infrastructure: The labs and infrastructure are good. We have access to Mac and Windows systems and different facilities like 3D printers and laser cutting machines that are useful for design work, having proper software and equipment makes things easier when you are working on projects or trying something new.
Faculty: The faculty is pretty helpful, especially when you are working on a project and need feedback, they do not just tell you what is right or wrong, but usually explain how you can improve the idea. Of course, every faculty member has a different teaching style, but overall I find them approachable. The course itself covers quite a few areas of product design, so you get to experiment and figure out what kind of work you actually enjoy.
Other: What I like about the course is that we actually get to work on different projects instead of only studying theory, a lot of the learning happens while working on assignments, making prototypes, doing research, and presenting our ideas. I also like the campus environment. There are a lot of events and activities happening, and since students from different courses are around, you get to meet people with completely different interests.

Integrated M.Sc. in Biotechnology - Batch of 2030

The college has good infrastructure and plenty of clubs.
Placements: Seniors mentioned that most students from both technical and non-technical branches get placed successfully if they are consistent and make proper use of the training provided. College also organises workshops, mock interviews, and aptitude tests to help students improve their communication and problem-solving skills, which play a key role during recruitment.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is the best thing at MIT-WPU. Also, our (biotech students) building of work (maitre, Kashyap) has proper classrooms and labs. I don't know about the hostel as I don't live in a hostel, but some of my friends do. They have said food quality is not so good, also they have other facilities like washing machines and all provided, but still they don't like it much.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, but in our department, there is a lot of communication between the faculty. They literally tell us today's to-do list before 1 hour before the college starts. Also, most of the lectures get cancelled, even exams get cancelled, and they don't even let us know unless we contact them.
Other: There are a lot of clubs where you can participate in, other than academics. It's really value for money as we can do so many things.
