Mysore University Admission Process 2025
Mysore University course admission is entrance-based for a majority of courses. Aspirants are selected for admission based on their entrance exam or qualifying exam scores. The steps involved in the admission procedure are as follows:

The entrance exams accepted are MAT, CAT, Karnataka PGCET, KCET, etc. Once the candidates are selected, the university releases a merit list.
STEP 3: Admission Confirmation & Seat Allotment
Admission to some of the courses is through KEA Counselling. Hence, aspirants selected for those course need to fill out the common application form for KEA. After the counselling, such candidates are allotted seat in Mysore University. For other courses, candidates must bring their documents for verification and pay the course fee to confirm their seat in the university.
Mysore University Fee 2025: Affordability & ROI
University of Mysore fees varies course-wise. Candidates need to pay the course fee first at the time of admission. The total fee of UOM includes multiple components, such as caution deposit, hostel fee, tuition fee, etc. As per the official website, Cat-I and OBC students, whose annual income is below INR 2.5 and INR 1 lakh, respectively are exempted from payment of tuition fee, lab fee, sports fee, library and examination. There is 50% concession in the tuition fee for SC/ ST students fulfilling the same criteria.
During the course, aspirants have to submit the fees semester-wise. Coming to affordability, it is one of the reasons why many leave a degree or a college. While the availability of education loans and scholarships has made education accessible but the terms and conditions required to become eligible for a student loan or a scholarship often stand as a challenge.
