By passing the National Law School and Judicial Academy, Assam Act, 2009, the Assam government established the National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam (NLUJAA). It's one of India's autonomous law schools. In 2021 the institute was ranked 20 among the law universities by NIRF. The NLUJAA offers a one-year degree curriculum in LLM and a five-year integrated course in BA-LLB (Hons). A PhD in law is also offered by the university. The 60-acre, lush, verdant campus is located outside of Guwahati in the Amingaon neighbourhood. The NLU Assam CLAT Cutoff 2026 has been released for admission to the LL.M. LL.B. (Hons.) and LLM courses for round 2. The cutoff was released for various categories under both the All India and Home State quotas. 

For the OBC AI category, the cutoff ranged from 2430 to 3669, wherein the LLM course and its various specialisations were more competitive for admission. Students can refer to the table below to know the round 2 cutoff closing ranks for both courses for the OBC AI category. 

NLU Assam CLAT Cutoff 2026 has been released till round 2 for admission to BA LLB (Hons) and LLM courses for various categories under both the All India and Home State quota. 

For the SC AI category, the round closing ranks ranged between 4884 and 11777, for the LLM and BA LLB (Hons) courses, respectively. Out of the two, the LLM course proved to be more competitive for admission at NLU Assam. 

NLU Assam BA LLB (Hons) cutoff 2025 has been released for round 1. The cutoff for the General AI category candidates was 1643. For the PWD AI category candidates, the closing rank in the round 1 was 45940.

NLU Assam cutoff 2024 as per the CLAT Round 1 Seat Allotment for BA LLB and LLM for the General category candidates under the Vertical Reservation is tabulated below:
