NIT Durgapur GATE Cutoff 2024 has been released for admission to MTech courses. The cutoff score for admission to closed at a range of 358 and 505, among the General All India category candidates. Therefore, it is not possible for candidate belonging to the General AI category to get admission at the score of 250-280.

Among the OBC All India category candidates, the cutoff ranks for different courses closed at a range of 302 and 464. Students wishing to apply for hostel have to pay an additional amount. NIT Durgapur does have mess service for which students need to pay a separate charge. The hostel fee for M.Tech students is INR 36,600. Students also have to pay a caution money for hostel service. Apart from the hostel charges, the tuition fee for M.Tech is INR 1.40 lakh. The institute has not released the specialisation-wise NIT Durgapur highest packages. However, the NIT Durgapur CSE average package has been released. As per the official statistics, the average package 2024 for the BTech CSE branch stood at INR 21.45 LPA. Of all the branches, CSE recorded the highest average package. Further, the overall average package for BTech was INR 7.35 LPA, which was almost 46% lesser in comparison to the average package offered in 2023.

NIT Durgapur admissions are based on national-level entrance exam score for most of the courses. The challenging part is qualifying the entrance exam.
