A wonderful and unforgettable experience in my life.

Placements: Mostly, M.Tech students were placed in IT companies. Fewer companies related to core branches visited our college. There is an advantage for B.Tech students than M.Tech. Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, TCS, some PSUs other companies related to trading, business, etc. visited our campus. Our stipend offered was Rs. 12,400 per month.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure was really good. No flaws in the facilities provided to us. The food quality was okay. The hostel rooms were good, but sometimes we faced a shortage of water. New equipment was being built for treatment of wastewater to avoid water shortage during summer. The entire campus was maintained and cleaned properly. There were many festivals and sports tournaments every year.

Faculty: The faculty were really good. All of them had a PhD in their respective fields. By this, we understand that they are good faculty except few. My experience with all of them was good except one with whom some of us faced a problem with understanding what he was teaching because of vast knowledge he had. They help us with project work, but we mostly get our doubts clarified from PhD pursuing students. If they could not clarify, then we went to our faculty. My overall experience with them was good.

Other: The amazing thing about NIT Rourkela was the vast area in which it is and buildings for departments. A new building was being built which has 13 floors which I didn't know these kinds of huge ones could be built in colleges. A new building for research worth 50 crores (I was told but not sure) was being built. The institute gave importance to students enjoyment by celebrating festivals such technical, international students meet, ethnic wear, celebrity night (Pritam, Salim Sulaiman, Sonu Nigam and few others performed live). To be frank, my experience was wonderful and unforgettable.
