Review of North Eastern Hill University, Shillong.
Placements: The college provides a lot of government scholarships, like the NEC book grant, which ranges from Rs. 1,000 to around Rs. 15,000. These were available easily to deserving candidates. Value-based higher education was the college's aim. There was a department of placement. They provide great opportunities. There were internships available for students to grow, along with job placements. Many companies came to recruit students, and a large number participated in the placement program to enhance their skills.
Infrastructure: The hostels were great. They were situated near the college, with two separate buildings for boys and girls. Some rooms were shared, while some single rooms were also available. The mess food was very good and cost around 8000 per month. PG accommodations are also available around the college, costing about 4000 per month. The course lasts 2 years and 6 months, including a compulsory six-month internship. There was indeed a lot of syllabus to cover and study. Assignments and practicals are part of the curriculum.
Faculty: Faculty members were super awesome and very dedicated. Some teachers make you fall in love with the subjects they teach. They were well-trained in their respective fields and performed their jobs exceptionally well. This is an awesome college regarding its faculty members. The principal and his assistant are friendly. The faculty members sitting in offices, be it the clerks or whosoever were very helpful. The exams yes were very strict. We had two to three exams a year and questions were set from every nook and corner of the syllabus. One needs to prepare thoroughly for tempting exams.

North-Eastern Hill University is good for M.A. in Physics.
Placements: Around 30 to 50 students get placed in our department and 50 to 60 students get internships. The highest salary package offered is 8 LPA, average salary package is 6 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 2 to 3 LPA. Research, project work, and academics roles are offered in our North-Eastern Hill University.
Infrastructure: Basic facilities are available in our college. Internet facility is also available, but the lab rooms are not so good because we don't have the latest equipments in our labs. The hostel facility is good and also their food is good. A small library is available in our University. Our college’s environment is so good.
Faculty: All the teachers are very helpful and experienced. They always try to provide all the types of facilities that help us with our studies. We attend all the classes and finish with the the assignments and projects. The semester exams are a little difficult, but almost all the students pass from our department.

College is overall okay, more of a mid-range option.
Placements: In our college, only 48% of students got placed. The highest salary package offered was 8 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 1 LPA. Top recruiting companies visit our campus, and the top roles offered are web designer and app developer. Only 3 to 4 students out of 60 got placed.
Infrastructure: In our college, they provide good facilities, but everything was average. Wi-Fi was limited to our department. Hostel facilities were not available. Our classrooms were not good, but the labs were good. The quality of food available in the canteen was good, and sports facilities were available.
Faculty: Our teachers were highly qualified with high degrees and very helpful. The teaching quality was excellent. However, the course did not make students industry-ready. Semester exams were average, and they were hard to pass, resulting in many students having backlogs. The pass percentage was 63%.

Review of North Eastern Hill University, Shillong.
Placements: The placement is around forty to forty-five percent of students can get placement through college, whereas for internships around twenty-five percent get it. The highest recorded package is four LPA, and roles like research, project work, or academics are offered.
Infrastructure: The facilities are very limited; we have a classroom but not with modern technologies, and the laboratories also don't have the latest equipment. We have access to the library, and the Wi-Fi connection is bad. The hostel has only basic needs facilities and no laundry service.
Faculty: The teaching quality is good, but the faculty members are only limited in that they are not approachable and do not get much involved in placement. The curriculum is designed to cover core Physics concepts, but the latest industry standards and requirements are not updated.

Firstly you have to get 55%(45% for SC/ST) in BSc(qualifying degree).
Qualifying marks for exams is 50%.
The cut off depends on the factors like number of candidates appeared in exam, difficulty level of exam etc.
