PU CET UG notification 2026 was announced with its dates in November 2025. The online PU CET 2026 application form started for the students on November 14, 2025. The last date for registration is December 14, 2025. Students can pay their PU CET UG application fee till December 16, 2025

After the completion of filling the application form, students can upload their scanned passport-size photograph, signature, and other information till December 12, 2025 (Thursday). The main PU CET UG 2026 exam centres for the examination will be Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Muktsar, and Hoshiarpur. 

PU CET UG admit card can be downloaded on December 23, 2025 (Tuesday). Students must bring their photo identity proof, like a Driving license, Aadhar Card, Passport, and Voter ID card to the exam centre.

The PU CET UG entrance exam will be conducted on December 28, 2025. Students can expect the announcement of their PU CET UG 2026 results on April 3, 2026. 

Then the qualified students will be eligible to participate in the PU CET UG counselling process 2026. It is likely to be conducted in May 2026, and there will be three rounds and one final round for the students who have not taken the seats.

What is PU CET (UG)?

Panjab University Common Entrance Test (PU CET) is conducted by Panjab University, Chandigarh in order to offer candidates admission in BSc (Hons) and pharmacy courses in the varsity. The PU CET is a university-level entrance exam that is conducted once a year. The entrance exam is held in offline mode (pen & paper test) and aspirants need to meet the eligibility criteria in order to appear for the entrance exam and apply for admission. For the BSc (Hons.) under the framework of Hons. School System (4 Years Programme as per NEP-2020) and BPharmacy admissions, the final merit will be prepared based on merit consisting of three components

  • CET merit with weightage 75 %
  • 10+2 or its equivalent examination merit with weightage 25 %
  • over and above weightage of NCC, NSS, etc.

Students need to understand PU CET 2026 Admission Process for better clarity of the exam. Candidate must go through these steps:

Registration

To apply for PU CET 2026 registration form, students must first register online via official university website, and provide their personal information such as name, email ID and mobile number.

Fill in the Application form

PU CET UG registration process has already released on November 14, 2025 and the end date will be December 14, 2025.

Download PU-CET (UG) 2025 Admit Card

Registered students will be eligible to download admit cards which will be an important document that needs to be carried to the exam centre. PU CET UG 2026 Admit card will be available online and test-takers can download same from website of Panjab University.

Appear for PU-CET (UG) Exam

The exam will be conducted in December 28, 2025 . Test will conducted for subjects of Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology. 

Check PU-CET (UG) 2026 Result

The result of the exam will be declared online and test-takers can check their scorecards by viswebsite of Panjab University. The result can be expected on April 3, 2026.

Counselling

Students who successfully pass the examination will be required to attend the PU CET UG 2026 counselling process after the test. Every candidate is required to be present at the counselling in person, and have all necessary documents ready.

  • The candidates who have passed/appeared in 10+2 Examinations of Mahila Gram Vidyapith, Allahabad are ineligible to appear in the PU – CET (U.G.) Entrance Test, as this institution has been derecognised by Panjab University, Chandigarh. The examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Delhi, included in the booklet of recognised exams, has also been deleted from the Booklet.
