PU-CET (UG) BPharma 2024: Exam Dates, Application Form, Eligibility, Syllabus, Results

The primary purpose of conducting the Panjab University Common Entrance Test (PU CET) UG 2024 examination is to select eligible candidates for admission to undergraduate programs (BSc (Hons.) under the framework of Hons. School System (CBCS) and B. Pharmacy) offered by Panjab University and its affiliated colleges. The exam is conducted in a centralized manner, ensuring fair and impartial selection of candidates.

PU CET UG 2024 is a competitive exam, and the scores obtained in the exam are used to rank candidates. The admission process is conducted in multiple rounds, and the candidates with the highest ranks are offered admission to their preferred programs.

The PU CET UG 2024 exam dates have not yet been announced by Panjab University. However, based on the previous year's schedule, the exam is expected to be held in the fourth week of April 2024.

The official announcement for the PU CET UG 2024 exam dates is expected to be released in November or December 2023. Once the dates are announced, candidates will be able to register for the exam on the PU CET website.

The PU CET UG exam is a computer-based test (CBT) that is conducted in English. The exam is divided into four sections: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology. Candidates can choose the subjects they want to take depending on the course they have applied for.

Each section of the PU CET UG exam consists of 60 multiple-choice questions. Candidates have 70 minutes to complete each section. There is negative marking for incorrect answers, with 0.5 marks being deducted for each wrong answer.

The type of questions asked in the PU CET UG exam is based on the syllabus of the respective subjects for Class 12. The questions are designed to assess the candidate's knowledge of the fundamental concepts and principles of the subject.

The PU CET UG 2024 exam notification is expected to be released in November or December 2023. Once the notification is released, candidates will be able to register for the exam on the PU CET website.

The notification will contain all the important information about the exam, such as the exam dates, eligibility criteria, exam pattern, syllabus, and application process.

The PU CET UG exam pattern is as follows:

• Mode of exam: Computer-based test (CBT)

• Number of sections: 4 (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology)
• Number of questions per section: 60
• Type of questions: Multiple-choice questions
• Duration per section: 70 minutes
• Total marks: 120 marks per section
• Marking scheme: 2 marks for each correct answer, 0.5 marks deducted for each incorrect answer
• Negative marking: Yes

Candidates can choose the subjects they want to take depending on the course they have applied for. For example, if a candidate has applied for the BSc (PCM) course, they will need to take the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics sections of the exam.

The age limit criteria for the PU CET UG exam is as follows:

•  Candidates must be at least 17 years of age as on December 31 of the year of admission.
• There is no upper age limit for the exam.

Candidates are advised to carefully check the age limit criteria before applying for the exam. If a candidate is found to be ineligible, their application will be rejected.

Following is the requirements for a candidate who wish to appear for B Pharma Course :

50% Marks in 10+2 examination conducted by the respective
State/Central Government authorities recognised as equivalent to 10+2 examination by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with English, Physics,  Chemistry and one of the following subject:-
Biology/ Biotechnology/ Mathematics 

The PU CET UG 2024 application process dates have not yet been announced by Panjab University. However, based on the previous year's schedule, the application process is expected to begin in the first week of March 2024 and end in the first week of April 2024.

To fill the PU CET UG 2024 application form, candidates will need to follow these steps:

1. Visit the official PU CET website.
2. Click on the "Apply Now" button.
3. Register for the exam by providing your basic details, such as your name, email ID, and phone number.
4. Login to your account and pay the application fee through online mode.
5. Fill in the application form carefully, providing all the required information, such as your personal details, academic qualifications, and course preferences.
6. Upload scanned images of your photograph and signature in the specified format.
7. Review your application form carefully and click on the "Submit" button.

Once you have submitted your application form, you will receive a confirmation email. You can also download a copy of your application form for your reference.

To download the PU CET UG 2024 admit card, candidates will need to follow these steps:

1. Visit the official PU CET website.
2. Click on the "Admit Card" link.
3. Enter your login credentials, such as your application number and date of birth.
4. Click on the "Login" button.
5. Your admit card will be displayed on the screen.
6. Download and print your admit card.

Candidates are advised to download and print their admit card well in advance of the exam day. They should also carry a valid photo ID proof, such as a passport or Aadhaar card, to the exam hall.
