I am satisfied with the university, infrastructure, hostel, library, etc.

Placements: We are developing biotechnologist who are well nurtured by our department both in terms of academics, discipline, etc. Currently, from our department, nearly 30 students are pursuing M.Sc., and many are pursuing a PhD in their field of interest. Our department is training us as future scientists. The highest salary package offered is nearly 2 LPA. The minimum salary package offered is 1 LPA. Our seniors did their internship in well-renowned government research institutes.

Infrastructure: The college provides facilities like air-conditioned classrooms, Wi-Fi, well-equipped labs with the latest instruments like nanodrop, electron microscope, etc. There is all necessary equipment which is required for research work. The library is available with all sorts of books to help in our academics, and to gain knowledge other than academics journals, research publications, etc. Hostel facilities are good, and the food served in the hostel is also good. Stadiums for sports are available, and a health care centre also available for students.

Faculty: Professors in our college are well qualified and knowledgeable to nurture us. Their teaching quality is good with powerpoint presentations. The course curriculum is relevant. Professors fruitfully guide us to pursue our research career and to do good science for the welfare of society.

Other: I am interested in the research field, so I have chosen this course. The best thing about our course is it is an emerging field, and it is for students who are interested to learn new things. It would really help them because every day new research works are done all over the world by many scientists so that we could know the science around us.

Absolutely satisfied with the dissertation project, faculty and infrastructure.

Placements: The placements were not that much good. But, the maximum students used to go for higher studies or paid project. Some of the companies came which offered a monthly salary of Rs.22,000. Students were given a chance to go for the summer project with the stipend of 3000-5000.

Infrastructure: There are well-equipped labs and instrumentation facilities. The university is having a separate animal house and marine house facility. The classroom contains projector and Wi-Fi facilities. The library contains a large collection of books and journals. Food provided in the canteen is fine but need to be improved in terms of quality. The hostel rooms are fine and airy. I didn't face any infrastructure related issue during my tenure.

Faculty: The faculty of the department of biotechnology are erudite and helpful. The way of teaching varies from teacher to teacher, but all of them deliver knowledge based on recent research. The course is designed in such a way that contains both theory and practical knowledge. They gave industrial exposure.

Satisfied because of the friendly environment, good infrastructure, and faculty.

Placements: The placement record is good. Some of the students are being placed at various research and development biomedical companies such as Ranbaxy, Dr Reddy lab, etc., as research associates. They are getting salary around Rs. 25,000 per month. Most of them are placed at various CSIR labs, and few are going to abroad for doing PhD and getting a respected fellowship. The students also got chance of doing the internship at various research labs across India such as Indian Academy of Sciences, IITs, IISERs, CCMB. Even some of them have completed internship project from Cold Spring Harbor Lab, USA. Respective institutions offered the project stipend and that is around Rs. 10,000 per month along with the travel allowance.

Infrastructure: University department consists of well-equipped labs along with various sophisticated instruments, and central Wi-Fi system, air-conditioned seminar rooms with audio quality. It has a health centre inside the campus providing a good medicinal facility for the students, faculty, and workers. University is having a well-equipped sports facility along with one football, one cricket stadium, one basketball, tennis, badminton stadium. The university is situated in the southern part of the country, so the mess foods are mainly south Indian type. North Indian dishes are available at canteens. There are 3 canteens situated on campus along with different messes for boys and girls.

Faculty: The faculty are well and helpful. They use different powerpoint slide based study system along with blackboard system. Departments have many faculty members along with 3-4 professors, 2-3 associate professors and assistant professors. We have to visit one or two industries and has labs for our projects in every semester. We have to do some field work and learn some practical industrial work. The course curriculum is not full, but most of it is important for CSIR-NET or any other PhD exams such as GATE, DBT-NET, etc.

One of the best infrastructures with poor placements.

Placements: 10-15% of students are only getting placement in bio-technology department, there is no placement. Almost all students get internships in IITs, IICs, and other renowned institutions. After course completion, most of the students got Ph.D. admission in India and abroad.

Infrastructure: One of the best infrastructures provided by university, from hi-tech classrooms to the playgrounds and stadium. Hostels are good, but don't expect much from food, food quality is a little bad. Chapati will be served at lunch and dinner, but in a compromised condition.

Faculty: Teachers were very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Course is in comparison to international Standards. Semester examinations are moderately difficult. 100% students achieve good marks. It makes students ready to join international universities.
