The college provides library facilities for all departments.

Placements: The placement opportunities are huge. Students are getting placed at their dream companies. The Big 4 come for hiring students from campus, and deserving candidates are selected. The placement process starts in the final year, and all students with 75% attendance and no backlogs are eligible for placement. The average package is around 6-7 lakhs, with the highest being 25 lakhs.

Infrastructure: We can take any books from the library within a specific time span. Faculty use videos as well as slideshows in their lectures. We have sports and cultural programs, and social groups too, with fun programs organized by students. In my college, they celebrate many festivals, business days, annual days, farewells, etc. They also place great importance on sports. There are many books in my college, and all the books are available, which is very useful for all students.

Faculty: The faculty members are qualified and provide an immersive learning experience, giving aid to students who are in need. They also clear each and every doubt and query that students bring in. The course is 3 years long, consisting of 6 semesters. Each semester, we have two exams: the mid-semester and end-semester exams. Apart from this, throughout the years, we are given CIAs (Continuous Internal Assessments) to get a better grasp of our subjects. There are 2 CIAs in each semester, each worth 10 marks. These are combined with the mid-semester marks of 25 marks and then merged into a total of 40 marks. The end-semester exam is worth 60 marks. They check the answer sheets with proficiency and give marks if the answer is to the point and doesn't stray too far from the topic.

The campus life brings joy. Good infrastructure and unforgettable campus life.

Placements: The placement cell of the school of mathematics is really active and conducts many placement programmes. 12 of my classmates got placed as business analysts at Cognizant with a package of 10 LPA. One student was placed at a federal bank and another was placed at HDFC. Many private banks and MNCs conduct placement programmes at the university. But some departments don't offer any placement opportunities.

Infrastructure: There are around 17 hostels at the university. Some are new and have good facilities. I stayed at Yamuna Hostel, and it was an old hostel. But the hostel has free Wi-Fi and no time restrictions. The infrastructure of our university is really good and has a very peaceful atmosphere. There are around 5 or 6 canteens inside campus that provide food at a very affordable rate. The library is also good and the math department has no lab facility.

Faculty: All the teachers have Ph.D. qualifications, and most of them are really good at teaching. But some teachers didn't teach at all and we prepared for the exam by self-studying. Semester exams are really tough and a 50 % mark is required to pass the exam. The total credit for the course is 72 and 48 of them are hard core and 24 are soft core. Hard core courses and math subjects are compulsory and in the case of soft core courses, we have the freedom to choose the course.

Other: I chose this course because of my interest in math. Since it is a central university, we get good exposure to campus life.

I like the campus and the events that happen here.

Placements: The college conducts 6 semesters. Every year, two semesters. And in three years, you will get a degree. You will Goa 6-semester lot of companies will come like Zoho, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, E care India Pvt. Limited. This company had entry-level exam. If you pass the entry-level exam then you go to. Interview. If you successfully interview one week later, a call letter comes.

Infrastructure: The room is simple. We have 3 beds and 2 cupboards. We have to buy mattresses on our own and we have water issues because of the lack of automatic motors. The mess food is not hygienic sometimes. And the menu is quite boring also. The fees are paid online from Sam portals after taking admission. Hostel Fee: INR 18000 per year.

Faculty: The syllabus is very light for applied mathematics at this university. There are only 3 semesters that have written exams. The last semester is just a project and viva. One factor I liked about the curriculum is that in the third semester, we can choose our specialty based on our interests. There are 3 options counseling clinical and industrial psychology

Other: Campus Life: We have so many events going on our campus and we have a very huge campus. We celebrate every festival here. We have a big library which has a good amount of reference books and one reading room which has centralized AC. We have different sports events also like football matches, badminton, etc.

An honest review of Pondicherry University.

Placements: In my course, 80% of students got placed. It is an integrated course. IT companies came here. Above 70% of students got internships in my course. Many companies and schools came for placements.

Infrastructure: M.Sc. mathematics is a 5-year integrated course, and M.Sc. programme is offered in the branches of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. The hostel is super clean and calm to stay, with all the facilities available. The food is superb in the hostel and canteen. Medical facilities are available. All the sports facilities are available to play.

Faculty: All the teachers are friendly, knowledgeable and have good communication skills in both English, Tamil, Hindi etc. The teaching quality is good. They make the students industry-ready. Exams are a bit tough, but easy to score a good percentage.

Other: I love the course mathematics. My course is easy to study, and it is interesting to solve problems.

Most amazing experience in Pondy Uni

Placements: For Msc Maths only 6% got placed, and maximum students were opting for Higher studies. Highest package was 12lpa, lowest was 10lpa and average range is 9 to 15 lpa. Top recruiting companies:Allen and Federal Bank. There was no internship in our course. Top roles:Manager,Analyst and Teacher

Infrastructure: Mathematics Department had 4 Classrooms for Msc students and Integrated Bsc Msc students also and Auditorium for Int. Students. Study rooms were available for Phd and Research Scholars. 1 Seminar hall is available for regular conduction of Seminars.1 Computer Lab, Department Library. Wi-fi is available but inside few classes it does not connect and there is no network inside department. Clean washroom and 24/7 water is available. Cold,Hot and Normal purified water is available 24/7.Good parking area is there. 7 girls hostel and 13 boys hostel. 3 more hostels are in making as hostel was not sufficient for students at our time. Phd students have their separate hostels and Foreign student have a different hostel. Every Hostel have common bathroom and drying area.Just like dept drinking water is available in each floor. Terrace, cycle stand and Lawn is there. Mess food is completely different for boys and girls ,for girls hostel it is edible and good but due to different taste in different region of India students suffer a little. Other facilities: 24/7 wi-fi, Library(10-6), Study Room 24/7, Temple, PUCF(pondicherry university christian fellowship), 2 Outdoor stadium and 1 Indoor badminton area, Medical Assistance 24/7 with Ambulance, 3 Canteens, Market Complex [4 food shop(tea, snacks, fruit, vegetable, juice, drinks) ,1 grocery,1 ladies corner and tailor shop,1 cyber cafe],Night life is also great with no restriction and complete safe with Security guards every where in campus, UMISARC.One of the most beautiful campus.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful,qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is good ,great guidance from teachers. Course curriculum was okay but lack of variety soft core was a demerit in maths dept. Having freedom to take softcore from any department in university was a plus point for all round development of students. Passing semester is not difficult but not very easy as it is maths you need to understand subject more. We have 40 marks test and 60 mark test, We need 23/60 and 50/100 to pass.

Other: My passion for maths was only reason to choose this course, Best thing about our course is building an analytic mind and Dr.T.Duraivel sir. Availability of more softcores. Celebration:Pongal ,Onam ,Durga Puja ,Diwali ,Holi ,Halloween ,Valentine's Day ,Christmas ,Ramzaan. Flashmob and DJ night. 15 km to Pondicherry Railway Station and Main Bus stand, 22 km to Pondicherry Airport connect by regular Bus,Auto. Also direct connection to Chennai by ecr road. Scholarship is available for top 3 students and on merit-cum-means basis.
