Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) Course Admissions 2025: Dates, Fees, Eligibility, Application Process, Selection Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to MA are required to have completed their relevant UG degree. For further selection, candidates have to appear for OEE conducted by UniPune for final selection. The majority of MA courses are available on the campus of UniPune while a few chunks of MA specialisations are also offered by various affiliated colleges and recognised institutes under UniPune. After appearing for the exam, students are required to wait for the merit lists released on the official website of the university. After the release of the merit list, students are required to fill in the admission form and upload the necessary documents in it. After all the documents are verified by the relevant department, an admission fee challan is generated and the fee must be paid followed by that before the last date.

SPPU total tuition fee for MA ranges between INR 15,000 and INR 11.9 lakh. The fee varies depending upon the specialisation chosen, tenure of the course and the affiliated college selected by the student. This tuition fee is sourced from unofficial sources. Students are advised to visit the official website of the college they wish to get into or visit the admission office of the college/ university campus in person for more clarity on this subject. Other than the tuition fee, students are also required to pay the application fee to get into UniPune. The application fee for General category candidates is INR 600 (INR 750 with late fee) and the same is INR 400 for reserved category candidates (INR 550 with late fee). 

Candidates who are in the final year of their qualifying exam can appear for OEE conducted by SPPU. For the same, students can apply online on the 'PG Admission' portal of the university. The admission is subject to candidates' passing the qualifying exam. For admission to courses offered at the affiliated/ unaided colleges under SPPU, it is suggested that the candidates must visit/ contact the shortlisted institute. It must be noted that the application fee for OEE is INR 600 (for General category students) and INR 400 (for reserved category candidates) for a single course.

At the PG level, UniPune offers a two-year MSc programme in over 20 specialisations. While admission to a majority of these specialisations is OEE based, there are a few courses, such as Medical Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science and Drug Chemistry, among others, admission to which is completely merit-based. In addition to this, there are a few MSc programmes, the duration of which is slightly different from the majority. Yes, Pune University offers a two-year MA programme across more than 40 specialisations to the students at PG level in the field of Arts. In addition to this, there are multiple Integrated MA courses offered at the Unipune departments The majority of MA courses are available on the campus of UniPune while a few chunks of MA specialisations are also offered by various affiliated colleges and recognised institutes under UniPune. At the UG level, Pune University offers a full-time BTech programme. The duration of the programme is four years, spread across eight semesters. While BTech in Aviation is offered by SPPU at its main campus only, the BTech programme is offered in multiple specialisations through SPPU-affiliated colleges. UniPune accepted MAH B.Ed CET scores for admission to the Integrated BSc - BEd course. As per the Savitribai Phule Pune University cutoff 2023, the last round closing rank for Discontinued (Jan 2023)-Integrated B.Sc. B.Ed stood at 52. In 2022, the closing rank was not released, whereas in 2021, it was 58 for the General category All India candidates.

SPPU offers courses at the UG, Diploma and PG levels in full-time mode. Admission to the respective course is offered on the basis of merit and entrance. The University offers respective courses with total tuition fees ranging from INR 3 K to INR 30 Lakh, differing level to level of the course. 

UniPune is not very difficult to get admission. Students should qualify the minimum eligibility criteria. Pune University offers admission basis merit and entrance wherein students must secure minimum marks in Class 12 or graduation, depending on the level of course opted. Students should also have valid scores in accepted entrance exams such as ATMA, OEE, GATE, UGC NET or SLET.

UNIPUNE offers admission to UG and PG level courses on merit basis and entrance exams. Students should secure minimum marks in Class 12 for UG level admissions. For PG level courses, Students have graduation degree with the set minimum marks. In addition to this, valid scores of accepted entrance exams is a must. Students should meet the cutoff rank for final admission. 

The UNIPUNE MAH HM CET cutoff was released for all categories and rounds under the All India and Home State category. According to the cutoff for 2023, for the General AI category, All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society's, College of Hotel Management and Catering Technology saw cutoff of 26 rank for admissions to the Bachelor in Hotel Management and Catering Technology programme. 

Maharashtra State Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology had a slightly less competition for admission, with a cutoff rank of 27 for the same category. Please note that the cutoff will vary according to category, quota and round.

At Savitribai Phule Pune University (PUMBA) For non-residents of Maharashtra, the 1st-year tuition fee is INR 66,694. For MBA program, the fee is INR 1.29 Lakh. The average fees per year are INR 65,000.
