Sikkim Manipal University and Dibrugarh University are both reputed universities located in the northeast region of India. Since SMU is a private university, the course is generally higher in comparison to state-level Government universities, such as Dibrugarh University. Sikkim Manipal University is recognised by the UGC and is approved by various regulatory bodies. These include Medical Council of India, Nursing Council of India, Indian Association of Physiotherapy, All India Council for Technical Education, UGC and the Distance Education Council. To apply for the BA course at Sikkim Manipal University candidates must follow the below mentioned steps:

Step 2: Fill out the online registration form with all the required details, including name, email, phone number, etc.

Step 3: Verify your phone number OTP/mail will be sent to your registered phone number and email id

Step 4: Now candidates need to login to the application form using the verified email ID/phone number and password. Fill out the application form with accurate details.

Step 5: Candidates have to pay the application fee via UPI, Internet Banking, and/or Debit/Credit Card to access the upload document section.

Step 6: Once the payment is done, upload all the required documents. And submit the complete application form.

Sikkim Manipal admission to the majority of the courses is based on valid scores of national/ university-level entrance exams, whereas for other courses admissions are granted on a merit basis. The university offers 100% placement assistance to its students. Sikkim Manipal University is visited by popular recruiters like Microsoft, Dell, Shell, Boston Scientific, Commvault, Medtronic, and Godrej & Boyce during placement. As the 2023 placement data is not yet. However, 567 UG and 65 PG students were placed during Sikkim Manipal University placements 2022. Further, the median package for UG courses ranged between INR 3 LPA and INR 5.40 LPA. For PG (2-year) and MD/ MS courses, the median package stood at INR 4.15 LPA and INR 10 LPA, 

Sikkim Manipal University gives admission to different BTech courses based on MET scores followed by round-wise counselling. The closing cutoff for some of the BTech courses for MET last round (General-All India) is given below:

Sikkim Manipal University BA fee ranges from INR 75,000 to INR 1.7 lakh. You might have to pay a one-time admission fee of INR 2,000. At the time of registration, candidates need to pay INR 1,000 and a caution deposit fee of INR 5,000 that is refundable. 

As per the Sikkim Manipal University's admission guidelines, the Department of Management accepts only graduate students who has 50% aggregate (45% for Reserved Category) in theis bachelor's degree. Additionally, students are selected based on performance in the Management Aptitude Test (MAT)/ (CAT)/ University Entrance Test. Qualified candidates must apply on the official website of SMIT by filling out an online application form. Candidates will be selected based on their performance in Group Discussions and Interviews. 

As per various sources Sikkim Manipal University BBA application fees is 1000 rupees. You may also have to make a caution deposit of 10,000 rupees. The caution deposit is refundable.

Sikkim Manipal University conducts separate entrance tests, and Personal Interview (PI) rounds to evaluate the candidates. Candidates willing to apply for the BTech, MTech, and MCA must first apply for the University entrance test known as SMIT (Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology). However, candidates with a valid JEE Main and GATE score can apply at the University's official website. For those who have qualified SMIT, JEE Main or MET, counselling will be conducted separately for seat allotment. The candidates will also have to select their preferred course. SMIT 2025 seat allotment will be done by the authorities based on the candidate's rank and other factors. 

Yes, you can join Sikkim University with or without entrance exams. The University offers admission via an entrance exam and merit based on the candidate's performance in the qualifying exam. Merit-based admission is offered for courses such as BA, BSc, BCom, BCA, etc.  However, for the flagship course, BTech admission is based on either JEE Main or SMIT Entrance Exam.  Candidates only have to qualify for the eligibility criteria, and based on their performance in the qualifying exam, a merit list will be prepared.
