SRM IST PG Diploma Eligibility & Highlights 2026
At the PG Diploma level, the University offers two programmes ranging from one to one and a half years. Admission to these courses is based on fulfilling the requirement of minimum marks in the last qualifying exam. The total fee for these courses ranges from INR 35k - 6 lakh. SRM Institute of Science and Technology admissions are conducted on the basis of entrance tests. The admission for the flagship programs are held on the basis of SRMJEEE UG exam. Further, SRM MBA admissions are conducted on the basis of SRMJEEM test. The SRMJEEE PG test is conducted for the various SRMIST PG courses. The university also accepts scoring from nationally-held tests like CAT, TANCET, MAT, etc. for admissions.
SRM University conducts SRMJEEE exam for admission to Engineering courses. The university does not accept scores for any other entrance exams. Candidates are shortlisted for BTech and MTech based on their past academic records and scores obtained in the entrance exam.
To sit for the respective exams, candidates must apply for the exams priorly and make a SRMJEEE preparation strategy to ace the exam.

SRM Institute of Science and Technology offers admission in UG and PG courses based on merit or entrance exam scores. The deemed-to-be university conducts SRMJEEE, SRMJEEM, SRMJEEH, etc. for admission in specific courses. Applicants do not have to pass any entrance exam for admission in BA, BCom, BCA, BBA, etc. Selected candidates have to come for e-counselling and document verification. Yes, candidates can get admission to BTech without JEE Main score. Admission to BTech course is only based on SRMJEEE score. Candidates are required to pass Class 12 with minimum 60% aggregate as per the minimum eligibility criteria. Further, aspirants must qualify for SRM JEE exam with a valid score. No, candidates must pay all fees online or by DD. No cash payment is allowed for the counselling process. The candidates who qualify for SRMJEEE must appear for the counselling rounds with their documents for verification. SRMIST is conducting the counselling online. For online counselling, candidates are informed the details through email or text messages. To participate in SRMJEEE counselling in online mode (SRM counselling), candidates have to register and pay the required fee.
