In 2025, good placement, really good infrastructure, and facilities are available.
Placements: About 75% of students get placed in the course. The package is Rs 23,000 per month to Rs 45,000 per month. Recruiting companies are Lenskart, Titan Eye Care, AIMS, Eye 7, and CL Gupta. 90% of students got internships. Top roles offered are optometrist, ophthalmic assistant, vision therapist, optical sales consultant, etc. It also provides international opportunities.
Infrastructure: All facilities are good. Infrastructure is also available. Every day 2 hour lab is compulsory. Classrooms are neat and clean. All books are available in library. Everything is available in hostel and students enjoy like home. Every day different type of food is served.
Faculty: Teachers are very knowledgeable and easily explain every topic. Teachers quality is outstanding. Teachers treat every student like their brother or sister. Curriculum makes students ready for the industry. Semester exams are not difficult. Pass percentage is 4.5 SGPA, and mostly students pass.
Other: I chose optometry because it combines my passion for healthcare with a deep interest in vision and how the eye works. My family member struggled with a vision problem that went undiagnosed for year, and it made me realise how essential vision is to daily life. It strengthens clinical training, updates the curriculum, focuses soft skills and entrepreneurship, and more industry and international exposure. Every week, events are organised and students enjoy and participate. Every event and fest is organised every year. Students are participating in a stroll activity, dance, etc. Campus is very good and every student is living in group and having fun. Scholarships are mostly awarded to students arrived, and every student is involved in an activity.

TMU - Growing hub for professional education.
Placements: Around 70-80% of the students from the bachelor of optometry program are successfully placed through campus or off-campus recruitment drives. The highest package to the lowest package is 1.8 LPA - 6 LPA. Some of the well-known recruiters included Dr. Agarwal Eye Hospital Lenskart, Eye-Q Super Specialty Eye Hospital, and Apollo Hospital. Nearly 90-95% of students secured internships as part of their final year clinical training. Graduates are offered roles such as clinical optometrist, refractionist, vision therapist, optical store manager, and low vision specialist.
Infrastructure: There is well-structured, professional description of the facilities and infrastructure for the bachelor of optometry course at Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU), Moradabad including department and hostel amenities. Hostel facilities are decent and secure. Rooms are shared and are provided with basic furniture. Regular cleaning is done, but cleanliness may depend on individual blocks. The mess offers a variety of vegetarian meals, while food is hygienic.
Faculty: Faculty members in the Optometry department are generally well-qualified and knowledgeable in their respective areas. Teachers are approachable and helpful, especially during practical sessions, clinical postings, and exam preparation. The curriculum is fairly updated and aligned with industry standards. Semester exams are moderately challenging, they test both theoretical understanding and clinical knowledge. Students who attend classes regularly and practice well in labs usually find the exams manageable. Pass percentage typically ranges from 85% to 95% depending on the batch and subject.
Other: I chose optometry because I had a strong interest in eye care, vision science, and healthcare services. It could be improved like advanced equipment, more workshops, soft skills, counseling, and campus crowd.

I positively agree that the theory taught in our college makes the practical examination easier.
Placements: Approximately 70% of students are placed. I don’t know the average package because our batch will start internships next year. From what I know, companies like LVPEI, Lenskart, and in my opinion, Dr. Shroff Eye Hospital are top recruiters. Most students go to different hospitals like Eye7, Sharpsight, and CL Gupta in Moradabad for internships. The majority of students get internships based on their academic performance. Top roles are given according to their specialties, such as fellowships in retina, pediatrics, and contact lenses.
Infrastructure: The lab is equipped with very useful instruments, and the classes are good. However, due to the high temperatures in summer, there is a need for air conditioning. Also, Wi-Fi is not available. I am a day scholar, so I don’t have information about the hostel facilities.
Faculty: Teaching quality is good, and the teachers are helpful. The course curriculum is relevant. In the final year, our college provides industry visits as well. Semester exams are quite difficult but manageable for those who study hard. The pass percentage is around 55-56%.
Other: I chose this course to learn more about the retina, and as optometry students, we have the opportunity to help preserve others’ vision, although I wish we could use Dr. as a suffix, the college offers a variety of events and extracurricular activities.

Strong clinical exposure, good placements make TMU's optometry programme a solid choice.
Placements: Around 92% of students from the recent batch were placed, with the highest package reaching 8.5 LPA and an average package of 3.5 - 4 LPA. Top recruiters include Lenskart, Max Healthcare, and CK Birla Hospital. Over 700+ internship offers were made across TMU, with optometry students gaining hands-on experience in reputed hospitals and eye care centers.
Infrastructure: TMU's optometry department offers modern classrooms, Wi-Fi-enabled labs, and access to a well-stocked library. Hostels are clean and secure, with decent food in the mess and canteen. Medical facilities are available on campus, along with sports and recreation areas.
Faculty: TMU's optometry teachers are qualified, supportive, and deliver practical, industry-relevant teaching. The curriculum blends theory with clinical exposure, preparing students well. Exams are moderately difficult, with a high pass rate of around 85-90%.
Other: I chose optometry for its blend of healthcare and technology. The course offers strong clinical exposure and practical learning. TMU has vibrant fests, a friendly crowd, good connectivity, scholarships, and active extracurriculars.

Good, but not the best option.
Placements: A small number of students got their placements. The highest package offered was thirty thousand, while the lowest was fifteen thousand. The top recruiting companies are Lenskart, Titan Plus, and CL Gupta. Almost all students received internships according to their preferences.
Infrastructure: There are books available in the library for short-term borrowing, but the library is not air-conditioned. Classrooms with digital boards are available. Various types of activities and sports are offered for students. The quality of food in the canteen is good. Medical facilities are also adequately provided.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. However, not all the subjects are relevant. The passing percentage is 45%. The semester exams are difficult. The teaching quality is satisfactory, and the teachers are friendly and supportive.
