Lucknow University BCA admission process is a multi-step process. The procedure involves application form filling, Entrance Test, announcement or merit list, counselling and fee payment. Find below more details around each of the stages of the admission procedure:
1: BCA Application Process
Candidates can apply through the university official website of the university. Aspirants shall ensure that they apply for UGET exam.
2: Appear for the Entrance Test
Candidates who registered successfully can appear for the entrance test. Admission to BCA course is based on merit in this entrance test.
3: Announcement of Merit List & Counselling
After entrance exam, a rank list is released with the names of students eligible for admisssion. Shortlisted candidates are further required to take part in counselling for seat allotment.
4: Fee Payment & Confirmation of Admission
After seat allotment, selected students can pay the required amount of fee to confirm their seat.
In the scenario, if two or more aspirants for the BPharm course at LU secure the same marks/ranks in the entrance examination, the university follows some rules for allocating the seat to deserving candidates, rules are:
- The candidate, who has secured a higher percentage of marks in Class 12 or equivalent examination will be given preference.
- If the marks secured in Class 12 or equivalent examination are the same in such cases first preference will be given to the candidate who has secured a higher percentage of marks at Class 10 or equivalent examination.
- If the marks obtained in the Class 10 or equivalent examination are also the same, then in that case the older candidate will be given priority.
Lucknow University offers a wide range of courses at the UG, PG and Diploma, and PhD levels. The admission to most of the undergraduate and postgraduate courses are based on Undergraduate Entrance Test (UGET), Under Graduate Professional Entrance Test (UGPET) and Postgraduate Entrance Test (PGET).
