Bachelor of Management Studies - Batch of 2028
Offered by Mithibai College of Arts, Chauhan Institute of Science & Amrutben Jivanlal College of Commerce and Economics
4.6
5.0Placements4.0Infrastructure4.0Faculty5.0Crowd & Campus Life5.0Value for Money
Best college for student experience and networking.
Placements: Mithibai's BMS is really preferred by the recruiting companies, some of them being - Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan Case, Barclays (from this year onwards), KPMG, etc. I am not aware about the exact number, but one of my connections got placed in Barclays this summer with a decent package. Another senior of mine was selected by JP Morgan Case during the placement round for a month internship, and then was later offered a job. Roles offered depend on whether you've chosen Marketing or Finance specialisation.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are all air conditioned, spacious (50-70 students easily), equipped with smart & whiteboards. There's a college Wi-Fi available for students to connect to on the campus. We have two libraries, one on the ground floor and one on the second floor. Both are fully air-conditioned and have amazing vibes and seating capacity. Sadly, there's no hostel facility for outstation students. Nevertheless, they can easily find a good hostel/PG near the college itself, in the vicinity of Vile Parle (east/West), Andheri, etc. The canteen on campus is a must-visit. It serves amazing food. Also, there is a gymkhana on the 6th floor which is really good!
Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified. Most of them have Ph.D. and really helpful. It's not just simple textbook learning. We have real-world case studies, examples, presentation, and projects. These things make BMS course more memorable. Students are required to go on field visits, start networking, improve on their communication skills, public speaking, etc. Exams are not difficult, if you simply try to study/memorize it as a burden. Try to understand, apply it in context to the real world scenarios. The pass percentage for a 60 marks paper is 21, and similarly for the 30 marks paper it's 11 or 10.
Other: I personally didn't really want to study in Mithibai, because I was a nerd and wanted NM College. But Mithibai proved me wrong! I met people from different states, backgrounds, ideologies, lives, and whatnot. People are amazing here, I swear. You will find so many students who are building, creating, innovating something new, and trying to open their own startups. There are students who juggle between their student-athlete lives. About the Fest, Kshitij, it is magical! Come to Mithibai for Kshitij ( I mean, not Kshitij being your sole purpose, but yes).

Mithibai College is where one can have lifelong memories.
Placements: Mithibai College is known for academics but not so much for placements. I am in my final year, and some companies have been invited. Mine is B.Com in Banking and Finance, but all the offers I have are from other sectors. So, core placements may not be guaranteed at Mithibai, but placements do happen every year.
Infrastructure: Accommodating three colleges in one building is a myth in itself. However, the maximum space in the building is for Mithibai students. Some facilities are common, like the library, indoor sports room, and canteen. The college doesn't even have enough parking space, so forget about hostels.
Faculty: Brilliant will not be enough to describe our faculty members. Kudos to them for teaching all of us to be well-rounded at all costs. They all hold postgraduate degrees, and some have Ph.D. degrees too. Each of our faculty members has at least a decade of teaching experience, and thus, on all fronts, they are ticked.
Other: Mithibai College has not only produced excellent students but celebrities too. There are societies that support students' passions as well.

B.Sc. in Chemistry - Batch of 2024
Offered by St. Xavier's College, Mumbai
4.4
3.0Placements5.0Infrastructure4.0Faculty5.0Crowd & Campus Life5.0Value for Money
A brief gist of what goes on at Xavier's.
Placements: The placement cell was not something students here really depended on because it did not provide good placements for science students. However, students had more opportunities to get proper internships and jobs. Almost 20–30% of the students got placed. The company name I had heard so far was Accenture, which hired students.
Infrastructure: The college had a proper gym, cafeteria, clean washrooms, a basketball court, a badminton court, two libraries, and good Wi-Fi in the foyer and library. The Gymkhana had a lot of outdoor and indoor sports and games, along with a decent gym. The food was reasonably priced, with a huge variety of dishes to choose from.
Faculty: Almost all teachers had a Ph.D. and were doctors. They were good at teaching. Chemistry course I studied was relevant for those who wanted to work with pharmaceutical companies, become chemists, or pursue biochemistry. The course also helped students become industry-ready. It provided opportunities for internships in labs and other places. The semester exams were quite tough, but once students cleared them, they could be sure that they were capable.
Other: I was from the graduation batch of 2024. I chose this course so that I could get into biochemistry. In this course, we learned about many chemicals and their daily uses. Our campus had a lot of events and festivals. The two main campus events I remember were Malhar and Janfest. Every year, the college conducted sports days, and students competed with other colleges in basketball, volleyball, rugby, football, etc.

Bachelor of Art (B.A.) - Batch of 2028
Offered by Bhavan's College
3.2
4.0Placements2.0Infrastructure3.0Faculty4.0Crowd & Campus Life3.0Value for Money
Honestly satisfied with my college, not perfect.
Placements: Mostly, students who get above 80% have a high chance of getting listed on Bhavan's website for admission. If not, they provide a section for students who get low marks. It's called the unaided division. The fees for that division are high compared to the normal division. Bhavan's also provides job opportunities. They arrange job fairs for students who want to get employed. Personally, I have never been to such a fair, so I don't know much about it.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. I won't say it's perfect or super amazing. The washrooms at Bhavan's College are below average. They smell all the time. I mostly go to the staff washrooms because they are pretty clean, but the staff has a problem with that as well. It's too irritating.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable, but the connection with students is moderate. The curriculum is relevant and provides a good foundation in Psychology, but practical experience and internships are not given much attention at Bhavan's College. They mostly focus on the theoretical parts, and that's all. Exams are generally manageable if you study regularly. Attendance needs to be maintained. Otherwise, you may face issues with KT in subjects where you have a low attendance percentage. The staff at Bhavan's College are too rude. They won't let you walk around the campus if they find out you have no lectures.
Other: I chose this college because I was in the same college for my 11th and 12th standards. I had fun during my junior years. The fees are very affordable, but now, in my degree years, they are too much for the facilities they provide, honestly. The events are amazing. They spend a lot on events like O2 and other job fairs.

4.0Placements4.0Infrastructure5.0Faculty4.0Crowd & Campus Life4.0Value for Money
Fully satisfied with faculty, infrastructure, and placement cell.
Placements: Around 40–50% of students are placed in my course. I think the lowest package is Rs. 60K per annum, and the highest is around 4–5 LPA. The average package is around 1–3 LPA. Tata is the top recruiting company, and internship programs are available for all students, although I don't know the exact roles offered.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is amazing. Wi-Fi, computer labs, practical rooms, canteen facilities, and other amenities are good. The classrooms are big and nice. Cleanliness is maintained well. Washrooms and toilets are cleaned regularly. Proper lighting and fans are available in the classrooms.
Faculty: Teaching quality is good. All teachers explain concepts in easy to understand language. Semester exams are neither too difficult nor too easy. They are moderate. Teachers explain concepts and clear doubts without any hesitation. Overall, the teaching staff and curriculum are good.
Other: I chose this course because I am very interested in the finance field. I think more practical knowledge will help us understand concepts better. Events and fests are regularly organized by the finance department and other departments.

Offered by Shivajirao S. Jondhle College of Engineering and Technology, Asangaon
2.6
3.0Placements2.0Infrastructure3.0Faculty1.0Crowd & Campus Life4.0Value for Money
If you are looking for a college with low fees, this is good, but you may face placement issues.
Placements: The average package offered in the Civil Engineering course is moderate. Even if 30 students are eligible for placements, there is only a 10% chance of getting placed. So, it is better to upgrade your skills if you are joining this college. If there are 50 students in one class, only 8 to 10 students get placed, and the packages are also average.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, mess, and medical facilities are not available, but the classrooms and library are good enough. For sports, you have to bring your own equipment. Even if you bring equipment from home, no students are interested in playing with you. You and your friends can enjoy sports activities together. A ground is available, but it is not meant for any specific sport.
Faculty: Faculty members are not good enough. They never help you if you are not a regular student. During admission, they say there is no problem if you want to study through distance learning or attend only the exams, but faculty members do not treat students that way. Seminars are also conducted to make students industry-ready, but there is no practical training.
Other: If students do not attend college lectures, how will there be a crowd at college events. Extracurricular activities, events, and fests are very poor, although scholarships are available and fees are low.
