Mysore University admissions 2026 will be open soon. A few more updates are given below:
- Admissions are open for UG (BCA/BCom/BBA) and PG (MCA/MCom/MBA) - online distance education courses.
- The Karnataka PGCET 2026 exam for admission to the MBA and MCA courses will be held on May 14, 2026. For the ME/MTech course, the exam is scheduled for May 23, 2026.
- The KCET 2026 registration window for admission to the BE/BTech course has been revised. Students can now register till Feb 27, 2026. Also, the KCET exam 2026 will be held on Apr 23 and Apr 24, 2026.
- The GATE 2026 exam for admission to ME/MTech courses has concluded. Results are scheduled for release on Mar 19, 2026.

Yes, Mysore University offers two-year MSc IT course in distance education mode through Directorate of Distance University. Aspirants need to complete BSc degree with Computer Science or Mathematics as one of the optional subjects or any degree with Diploma in Computer Application or BCA/ BTech/ BE in any branch with at least 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for SC/ ST/ CAT-I) to apply for MSc IT.
University of Mysore gives an online MBA. The online programme is available in 16 specialisations, including Digital Marketing, HR Marketing, Supply Chain Management, etc. The min. eligibility required for each and every course is a UG degree in any stream from a recognised university. An online MBA is suitable for a range of individuals, including working professionals who wish to learn alongside their work. Online MBA at UOM is UGC-DEB and AICTE approved.
The first step for admission process is the application form. Before completing the application form students must review the qualifying requirements. Since admission is entrance-based students must also complete the PGEE application.
Mysore University is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is accredited with A Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). For the holistic development of the students, the university has a separate cell called the Directorate of Physical Education, which looks after the sports-related events. The University of Mysore sports facilities include three cricket grounds, four tennis courts, a cinder track, three basketball courts, etc. It also has Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar, Gangotri Glades, and three indoor stadiums. A well-equipped large gymnasium and a well-maintained swimming pool are also available for the students to focus on their physical health.
The requirement of entrance exam varies course-wise at University of Mysore. The university considers scores in CAT, MAT, Karnataka PGCET, GATE, etc. for admission to specific courses.
