Selection Process: Applicant must have secured a valid score in UPESEAT/ JEE Mains/ Board Merit/ SAT (minimum score of 1040 or above)/ CUET, followed by a PI.
- For the BTech Mathematics and Computing programme, applicants must have secured UPESEAT/ JEE Mains (minimum 60 percentile & above)/ SAT (minimum score of 1150 or above)/ Class 12 Merit (minimum 80% marks in class 10 and 12 along with 80% aggregate marks in PCM), followed by a personal interview.

Yes, candidates who have passed Class 10 and Class 12 with at least 50% aggregate and a minimum of 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Maths/ Biology, and English in Class 12 can apply for BTech/ BTech (Hons) course with JEE Main or CUET score. Aspirants must secure at least 50 percentile for admission to through SAT India score. For aspirants who wish to apply with their merit in the last qualifying exam must pass Class 10 and Class 12 with at least 75%-80% aggregate and a minimum of 75%-80% aggregate in Class 12 PCM subjects.
In case a candidate has not appeared for any of the specified exam, he or she can appear for UPESEAT. As soon as the selection round is over, aspirants will need to prove their eligibility by provding necessary documents for verification. Aspirants need to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the university. UPES BTech fee ranges between INR 9.46 Lacs and INR 18.32 Lacs as per an unofficial source. The fee is calculated based on tuition fee and does not includes other fee components.

UPES BTech course admission is crucially based on JEE Main/CUET-UG exam. Candidates who want to secure admission to the BTech programme should appear for the exam. The eligibility criteria for securing admission to UPES BTech are a valid JEE Main/CUET score and 45% minimum aggregate marks secured in Class 12 board exams.

1. Apply & Appear for JEE Main/ CUET
UPES BTech admissions take place through the JEE Main/CUET. Candidates applying for BTech at the university should apply and appear for the entrance exam. A valid JEE Main score is necessary to seek admission. Candidates should wait for counselling once they’ve taken the exam.
2. Apply for BTech admissions at UPES
Once the JEE Main/CUET results are announced, candidates can apply for counselling. In the counselling process, candidates can apply for BTech admissions at UPES. The application fee for BTech admission at the university is INR 2,000, which is non-refundable. The university offers seven specialised courses, and candidates have to choose any one of them. This process takes place online.
3. Final document verification & Fee Payment
UPES BTech admission is finalised once the candidate pays the semester fees for the first semester.
