For B.Tech, it is the best preference.
Placements: The placement report of the college is very positive, but from your side, you also have to do a lot of hard work and practice many more interviews and group discussions together, and there is a good package in this college. The average package from this college is around six Lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure and the department buildings are very good and spacious. The college also has many built-in facilities, such as a library for each course, Wi-Fi, which is available all the time. In addition to this, the college also has its own temple. The seniors of the college are also very helpful and nice.
Faculty: The courses offered in the college are B.Tech in various specialisation fields, then BCA, M.Tech, MBA, and LAW. The examinations are also held on time at a gap of every four months, and each month college conducts many classroom tests, which are added to internal marking.

Brief review about my college.
Placements: Currently, I am pursuing my Bachelor's in Computer Science and Engineering with a specialization in Information and Technology from this college. The placement record for my particular branch is great, and the highest package goes up to 1.2 CPA. Overall, you will have a great experience in this college as the college takes care of your placements and also provides you with internships.
Infrastructure: The college is excellent in terms of infrastructure, including the classrooms, libraries, and other resources that enhance the learning experience and student experience of getting into a great college.
Faculty: Faculty-to-student ratio is absolutely fine, and the relationship between faculty members is always very nice and supportive. Whether it's a personal or college-level problem, faculty members are always there to help you, even beyond college hours. Semester exams are held within every five months. Also, these exams are not very tough, and the college provides you with study materials on your student ERP (portals through which you can check your attendance and other things).

Absolutely dissatisfied with the placement ratio of the previous batch and also with a few faculty.
Placements: I think 40% of students got placed. I am not sure about the highest and the lowest packages offered in courses. Some recruitment is done by some companies, like Infosys, TCS, etc. There are not many internship opportunities in this course, which is provided by the institution.
Infrastructure: Labs are good. There are two libraries, one for the university and one for the college itself. The hostel and canteen area is good, but the food provided in the mess is not very appetizing.
Faculty: Almost everyone is helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are not difficult. The pass percentage is very lenient according to other institutions. Some faculty members are good, and some faculty members are not that good. They take something on their ego and don't behave very good with students. Other than that, everything is good here.
Other: I chose this course because it is very vast. There are many opportunities in this particular course. I think the best thing about this course is that there are various opportunities in this particular field. Before summer break in the month of April, there was an event named Yuva Fest in which singers, like King, DJ Abhi, and DJ Chetas were invited.

Greatest campus life in Dehradun with top-class fests, decent placements, and supportive faculty.
Placements: In my course, approximately 855-90% of students got successfully placed through campus placements. The highest package offered is around 1.2 crores per annum off-campus, the lowest is approximately 3.5 LPA, and the average package stood at around 6 LPA-7 LPA. Top recruiting companies include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Deloitte, Accenture, EY, Cognizant, Capgemini, and Amazon (through off-campus drives as well). About 70%-80% of students secured internships in reputed companies such as TCS, EY, Deloitte, Google (off-campus), HCL, and various startups. The top roles offered are software developer, data analyst, business analyst, web developer, QA engineer, and consultant, depending on the student's skillset and area of interest.
Infrastructure: The department offers smart classrooms, well-equipped labs, high-speed Wi-Fi, and both physical and e-library access, all maintained at an A+ level. The hostels are clean and well-maintained with 24/7 Wi-Fi and basic amenities. Mess food is hygienic, and the canteen offers a good variety. There are on-campus medical facilities and excellent sports infrastructure for both indoor and outdoor games.
Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified, supportive, and have strong subject knowledge. The teaching quality is quite good with a mix of theory and practical learning. The curriculum is relevant and updated, helping students become industry-ready with essential skills. Semester exams are of moderate difficult, and with regular study, students can perform well. The overall pass percentage is high, typically above 85?90%. .
Other: I chose this course as it matches my career goals and offers an industry-relevant curriculum. Faculty is supportive, and teaching is strong. Labs can be improved a bit. Campus life is great. Fests are amazing, with artists like Diljit and King, Arijit Singh, and Neha Kakkar performing. The crowd is good, with decent connectivity, scholarships, and extracurricular activities.

Not satisfied with placements, teachers, and courses but infrastructure is good.
Placements: About 40% of students got placed in our batch B.Tech CSE. The lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. The highest salary package offered was 18 LPA for female candidates. Amazon recruits female candidates. Josh Tech, Zscaler, and Wipro were top recruiting companies. About 10-15% of students got internships in the above companies. Top roles offered were data analyst, software developer, and sales manager.
Infrastructure: Labs were well-equipped with updated systems. Classrooms were not smart, Wi-Fi was not upto mark, and library was also poor. There was no proper space to accommodate large number of students. Sports events were very minimal, and participation in events was also not supported at large.
Faculty: Some were qualified others didn't feel like they were qualified at all. Teaching quality was average. Course was very outdated and didn't incorporate the latest trends in industry. Exams were made easy so large number of students could pass but still, percentage for a semester was 70-75%.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest and demand in the industry. Best thing about the course was definitely practical work in labs. Better teaching equipment or smart classrooms could have enhanced the teaching experience. In 4 years, we never saw any fests or events mostly due to Covid.

Uttranchal University is good for engineering studies and it also provides placements. Every year many companies visit this college, basically for petroleum, mechanical, CS, etc. only but placements for civil are not as good as my friend detailed me.

Yes, you can take lateral entry in 2nd year, but it is more beneficial when all the subjects are same as in your present college. There might be a problem of adjusting with a new college and surroundings. The change can either be positive of negative. It is completely up to you as to how you manage
