VBSPU, Jaunpur accepts PUCAT, or the Purvanchal University Combined Admission Test, as the entrance to the BSc programme. Candidates are selected for the BSc programme based on their performance in the entrance exam. Other than PUCAT, VBSPU accepts other entrance examinations regarding the various courses it offers. However, in the case of a BSc programme, only PUCAT is required as the entrance examination. After considering all the specialisations, around 50%-70% of seats are allocated to the candidates who qualify the accepted entrances such as PUCAT, and JEE Main. For UG and PG courses, the CUET exam scores are taken into consideration for admission to fill 50% of seats. For courses such as BTech, JEE Main’s scores are considered to allocate 70% of seats, and the remaining 30% are allocated via the PUCAT exam. Some courses such as BCA and diplomas require the PUCAT exam after the qualification of 10+2.
