Applicants hailing from Jammu and Kashmir/ Ladakh and the North Eastern States of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya,Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura, 60% minimum aggregate as per the condition, in the qualifying examination mentioned above.
Candidates with senior secondary school examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with minimum of 5 subjects as recognized by central board can also apply for the course.
Candidate who have appeared for multiple board examinations in the same academic year are not eligible.
Students awating results may also apply on provisional basis.

Candidates need to have a valid entrace exam score for admission to VIT Chennai BTech programme. VIT conducts VITEEE for admission to BTech course. VITEEE is a 2.5 hour multiple-choice test. The test includes a total of 125 questions divided into the section-Maths/ Biology (40 questions), Physics (35 questions), Chemistry (35 questions), Aptitude (10 questions) and English (5 questions).
Candidates are selected based on merit for BTech Fashion Technology. There are no entrance exam for this course. However, the students must appear for Personal Interview. Applicants who have studied through Regular, full-time and formal education are eligible to apply.
