I am absolutely dissatisfied with this university.

Placements: 18% of students get placed in my course. The highest package is 3 LPA, and the lowest package is 2 LPA. The average package is 1.5 LPA in my course. The top recruiting companies of my course are the State Bank of India, non-government organisation, etc.

Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available in my course are free Wi-Fi, a library, and classrooms. The quality and the facilities of my hostel are below average. The quality of food available in the mess is not very good for health. The university has Person Memorial Hospital.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality of teachers is good. The course curriculum is relevant, but it does not make students industry-ready. Semester exams are difficult because the professor does not complete the syllabus on time.

Other: I chose this course because in the future it helps me to get a social work. The best thing about my course is international economics.

It provides good faculty members.

Placements: I do not have much idea about placements, but it provides better placements. Students here can be seen achieving respectable positions and posts with many recognitions. Since higher educations are available and the professors are almost researchers, so the placements ratio is good here.

Infrastructure: It has a good infrastructure and a good hostel. There is a central library. It provides a value for money course and studies with all quality of facilities at its peak. All facilities are available of the best qualities, and systematic order can be seen with the management.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are highly qualified and knowledgeable. A standard of exams is conducted here. It provides a very good and systematic way of studying. The pass percentage is 33%.

Other: It has a little crowd. Due to renowned faculty members supportive staff members, this is surely a better choice than any other costlier college. One can get everything they want here because of being or run by the central university. All queries are accepted, and especially in studies, there is no compromise. A better and bright future can be dreamt of from here.

I am highly satisfied with the course.

Placements: There are around 40 seats for B.A. Economics in Viva Bharati University. Students pursuing B.A. Economics has availed several private internships during the course. No placement is offered to the students from the university as it is non-technical.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure facilities are too good in the department as well as on the campus. The department of economics and politics offers a departmental library and computer lab. Classrooms are of good quality. The quality of hostels varied from one to another.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and are very kind as well as helpful towards students. Teaching quality is too good and student-friendly. The semester exams are based on the topics covered by the university teachers, and questions papers are standard.

Other: Being an economics aspirant I am very much satisfied by the course, syllabus, and faculty members of the university. Students participate and enjoy a lot in events and festivals conducted on the university campus. Bengali festivals like Dol Utsav, Posh Mela, etc., are grandly celebrated on the university campus.

I am satisfied with the faculty members.

Placements: After the bachelor, they offer a master's degree then after that M.Phil Ph.D. or B.Ed. In our country, it is difficult to get a job after a bachelor's, but in our department, all the students pursue master's after graduation so there is no question of recruitment. The students pursuing Ph.D. get jobs in this university and they also work abroad.

Infrastructure: Our college has ample facilities and very good infrastructure in the department. We have Wi-Fi, classrooms, library in each Bhavan. The food in the canteen is too good and the tea after each class is good. The canteen is very hygienic. The medical facilities are also available here.

Faculty: Professors here are very helpful as well as they are qualified and knowledgeable. Their way of teaching is very good. The semester exams are on average good and almost everybody clears. I think that no other universities have such friendly and helpful professors as we have at Visva Bharati University. The pass percentage is 98%. In our batch, all our classmates passed in the previous semester, but few are there in other batches failed in 1 or 2 subjects.

Other: I chose this course because I love economics. I enjoy it while studying. Moreover here there are plenty of extracurricular activities.

Department of economics, Visva Bharati University, Shantiniketan.

Placements: The students from the economics department of Visva Bharati are well- settled in their career. Some of them are still completing their higher degrees from Visva Bharati. Some of them are working at high profile companies like Inspire, Airtel, Kutchina, etc., and the others are working as bankers in private or government banks.

Infrastructure: The economics department of Viva Bharati is beautiful and located in a pleasant area at Shantiniketan. In the middle of the department building, there is a small garden decorated by the institute. In this department, there are 3 AC and 2 non AC classrooms. There are 2 toilets for boys and 2 toilets for girls and the institute staff. There is also a seminar hall, where all the functions and seminars are organized.

Faculty: In the economics department, there are 3 courses for students, B.A. M.A. and PhD. The teachers are highly qualified and very helpful to the students. If any student does not behave well, the teacher helps him/her from all around, and really support well. The head of the department is very conscious for everyone's career and study. For inspiration to the students, sometimes a seminars are organised by well-settled seniors or guests.

Other: Economics department does not have much crowd of the students, but in any function like teachers day, farewell, bhasha divas, Nabin Baran with ex-students and guests, this department becomes cheerful and very crowded. There is a pleasant unity among all of them. The arrangement of any function is charming. Sometimes some mistakes happen, but misunderstandings never happen. That is the beauty of this department.
