Q:   Can I get direct admission in VTU BTech?
A: 

Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) admissions 2024 are entrance based. Candidates who wish to take admission to VTU BTech proramme must appear for the entrance examination. The College does not offer direct admission to candidates in any of the programmes. Candidates who wish to take admission to the BTech programme must appear for either KCET or COMEDK and qualify the eligiblity criteria.

Q:   What is KCET application form correction date?
A: 

Karnataka Examination Authority will commence the KCET application form facility after the conclusion of the exam at the official website. Applicants can make changes in the KCET application form in online mode. Candidates are allowed to make changes in certain fields only. Applicants are advised to cross-check all the details before submitting information. KEA do not entertain any request for change in KCET application form after the conclusion of correction facility.  

Q:   What is the last date to fill the COMEDK application form?
A: 

Application forms will be released shortly during the month of March. ( Tentative) 

The expected last date to register for Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) UGET Examination will be during the month of April . ( Tentative). 

The registration process will be accepted through online mode only. Candidates can visit the official website to know more about the examination in detail.

Yes, you can easily get admission into Vesveswaraiah Technological University with 60% in class 12th. The eligibility criteria for admission into Vesveswaraiah Technological University for Bachelor courses are that the students must have passed 10+2 with 45 % marks in aggregrate with compulsory subjects Physics, Chemistry and Maths. The admissions are based on the scores of JEE Mains or KCET for B.Tech program. For B.Arch or B.Plan the students must have secured qualified scores in NATA exam.

Good college with decent placement and supportive faculty.
Placements: The placement opportunities in my course are average. Around 40–50% of students get placed every year. The average package is around 3–4 LPA, while the package depends on the student's skills. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and Capgemini recruit students.
Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure with clean classrooms, computer labs, Wi-Fi, a library, and seminar halls. The hostel rooms are decent, and the campus is clean. The mess food is average but hygienic. Sports facilities like cricket and football are also available.
Faculty: Faculty members are helpful, qualified, and experienced. Most teachers explain the concepts clearly and support students during practical sessions. The curriculum covers important subjects related to the industry, but students should also learn extra skills.
Other: I chose the course because I am interested in Computer Science and software development.

Those who are just looking for a degree certificate can easily choose this college.
Placements: Only 40% of members get placed by training companies. I am not sure about the highest and lowest packages. There are no top recruiting companies. Around 60% of members get internships at training companies, mainly companies like Pentagon Space, QSpiders, and JSpiders. The roles offered are Java Developer and Python Developer.
Infrastructure: There are no such good facilities available in the hostel. Basic requirements are not provided to students, such as Wi-Fi and labs. In the hostel, there is no proper power supply or water facilities. Coming to the food, there is no proper hygiene in the hostel, and many students suffer because of this.
Faculty: The teaching quality is below average. There are no proper teachers available for teaching particular subjects. From the 2nd year to the 4th year, the same teachers teach the subjects. Coming to the semester exams, they are conducted very strictly. The passing percentage is 60%.

Looking for a budget-friendly engineering college, so this is the best option.
Placements: Around 60% of students get placed. I don't know much about the packages offered, but the basic average might be there. I don't know the top recruiting companies for my course. Around 60% of students get internships from my course in companies such as Pentagon, TAP Academy, QSpiders, etc. Roles like Java Developer and Python Developer are offered in my course.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are clean, the library is also good, and labs have the best-equipped materials. However, other things in the college, such as the washrooms, are in very poor condition. Overall, the college infrastructure is good. Being a hosteller, I would suggest that the hostel is in worst condition, with no proper maintenance, no cleanliness, and no good mess or canteen. There are also limited sports and games facilities in my college.
Faculty: Some teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. In the case of my college, the teaching quality is such that teachers focus on teaching. Students who want to learn can learn, while others may not. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. The semester exams in the college are very strict, with strict checking, and squads are also available. If you study well, you can score well. The passing percentage is around 80%, I think, but I am not sure.
Other: I chose this course because I dreamed of working in the IT industry. I chose this course to develop my career, build a stable life for my family and me, and create a good future for myself. I think my course could be better by improving job hiring and placements. Events are held occasionally in my college. The campus crowd is average, the campus surroundings are okay and good, and scholarships are available for those who are eligible. There are no extracurricular activities.

Overall, the college is good for academics but has poor hostel facilities, according to the fees.
Placements: While talking about placements, it totally depends on the branch, as the IT software job opportunities are more than the Hardware core jobs. Approximately 70 percent of students get an offer letter for internship or full-time. The highest package is 40 LPA, and the average is around 5.5 LPA to 6 LPA. Top recruiters are Musigma, Edgeverse, Cognizant, Juspay, IBM, Autodesk, etc. Students got internships at Edgeverse, KPIT, Seeing Slab-like companies. 30-40 percent of students got internships. Roles offered are Trainee roles, SDE, Assistant, Product Engineer, DTS, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college offers decent courses, good infrastructure, facilities with a good library, Wi-Fi, good laboratories, and classes. The hostel is average, it feels like they are not providing good facilities, infrastructure, rooms, and food too in the hostel. A gym is available, but you have to pay for it separately.
Faculty: Teachers are good and supportive. College follows the autonomous curriculum, which is aligned with various industries. Semester exams are moderate, and students pass up to 80 percent. Teachers are qualified and well-trained, but they are not trained properly, which results in a lack of proper delivery of content for newbies.
Other: I chose Data Science as I like to take data-driven decisions, and it is better to have new industry-required skills. Events in this college are very rare, with only a few from 1 to 2, and the annual fest is also for 3 days only. Campus managers the crowd very efficiently, and there is a good transportation facility. They provide state-level scholarships and awards for the toppers.

Satisfied in terms of placement and infrastructure, but lacking in teaching.
Placements: The placements arrive at the end of the 6th semester. They regularly conduct hackathons and events to improve our resumes. About 80% of students get placed in the previous year. Of these, about 20% get a CTC above 15 LPA. The highest package awarded is 49 LPA from De Shaw and Co. The lowest CTC is around 5–6 LPA. If 100 students get placed, then only about 10 gain permanent positions, while others have to undergo internships and then get permanent positions. Top recruiting companies are IBM, De Shaw and Co., JP Morgan, Accenture, Infosys, etc.
Infrastructure: The library and hostel facilities are pretty good. Wi-Fi is available 24/7. Teachers and lab facilities are very good. They make use of Lenovo systems with i7 processors. The library consists of all the books required for the semesters. The infrastructure is good. The quality of the hostel is average, but the price is very low, so the quality is manageable.
Faculty: The curriculum is designed to help us achieve placements, except for the 1st year, where the syllabus consists of many irrelevant subjects. The other years pretty much provide the foundation for our resumes and prepare us for industry standards. The semester exams are moderate, neither easy nor tough. We can easily get the grades required for placements. When it comes to teachers, they are not good. Only around 50% of teachers are good. The quality of teaching is average.
Other: CSE offers high variability when considering jobs, which is why I chose it. They should improve the syllabus of the 1st year. They conduct small-scale events regularly and two main events each year. Tech Fest, which includes events to showcase skills, and Udbhav, which includes dance, singing, and cultural events.

The college provides a good learning environment and supportive faculty.
Placements: 75-88% of students are placed in my course. The highest package is 27-41.30 LPA, the lowest package is 3.50-4.00 LPA, and the average package is 5-6.60 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Juspay, HPE (Hewlett Packard Enterprise), Amazon, Cisco, SAP Labs, and Mercedes-Benz. 70% to 80% of eligible CSE students get internships at companies like Dell, Juspay, SAP Labs, and Mercedes-Benz. The roles offered in my course are software development, data science, and IT consulting.
Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure is pretty vast and maintains cleanliness very well. Wi-Fi is available in every lab and works well, but it is privatized and not available to everyone. First, we have to register before we use it. Classrooms are spacious, have projectors, and are properly ventilated with windows. The library has all the related books for the courses. I am a day scholar, but my hostel friends say that the food is average. All other facilities like cleanliness and spacious rooms are good and worth the money.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The quality is above average except for some teachers, but overall it is above average. The course curriculum is relevant. Students are industry-ready. The difficulty level of the overall exams is above average. The passing percentage of students is also above average.
Other: With my interest, I joined this course. My seniors also tell me that this course is helpful for the future. The best thing is that we can do real-world projects here. Rather than these things, it can be improved by interacting more with real-world problems and solutions as engineering students, having more relevant projects related to society. Vidyuth is a grand event that is held over three days, and it is a memorable three days for every student there. We enjoy it a lot. The campus crowd is more, but networking and connectivity happen easily due to this. The surroundings and extracurricular activities are also great.
