National Aptitude Test in Architecture will be conducted from March 1, 2025, till June 2025. NATA 2025 will be conducted on Fridays and Saturdays. The National Aptitude Test in Architecture will take place in two sessions on Saturdays and a single shift on Fridays. The candidates must follow the NATA 2025 exam day guidelines given here while appearing for NATA 2025.

The Council of Architecture (COA), responsible for conducting NATA 2025, has strongly advised you to carefully adhere to the NATA exam day instructions to ensure a smooth examination experience, free from any issues before or during the test. 

Q:   Will NATA be held online?
A:

NATA will be conducted by the authorities as an online  i.e., computer-based and offline test. The MCQ section will be held as a computer-based test, while the drawing and composition test will be held as an offline test. CoA will conduct NATA at various centres. All registered candidates will have to report to their allotted centres and attempt the examination through the systems provided there. The detailed information regarding NATA exam pattern has been announced online.

Q:   How can I create a good timetable for NATA preparation?
A:

Creating a timetable is very important for preparation process of NATA. Students are advised to prepare a timetable that will allow them to complete syllabus well before the examination. While creating timetable, candidates should ensure that the entire syllabus is equally distributed. The subjects and topics should be divided well so that the candidates cover different units in a day and the studying process does not become monotonous. The daily study routine should also include revision and mock test. It is very important that the timetable is created considering the aptitude of the candidate.

Q:   Where can I check the NATA exam centres?
A:

CoA will prepare and release the list of NATA exam cities online at nata.in. From the list of exam cities released by the authorities, the candidates will be able to make their choice. The preferred three exam cities for NATA has to be selected in the order of preference while filling out the application form. The allotment of NATA exam centres will be done based on the candidate's preferences and availabilty of centres. The candidates will be able to check the details of their allotted exam centres through the NATA admit card.

NATA 2025: Time Schedule

The candidates will have to follow the schedule as follows:

NATA 2025: Things Allowed in the Exam Hall

Candidates must take with them:

  • Downloaded Original Appointment Card of NATA-2025. document. Candidates must show on demand the Appointment Card (NATA-2025) for entry to the Examination Hall. A candidate not possessing print out of a downloaded admit card and valid photo identity shall not be allowed to enter the Examination Hall by the Centre in Charge
  • Pencils, erasers, dry colours, Scale (up to 15 Cms)

NATA 2025: Things Not Allowed at Exam Centre

  • Candidates found carrying any textual material, printed or written, bits of paper inside the examination Hall will be debarred from appearing in the examination.
  • Mobile Phones, Bluetooth devices, Calculators, Slide Rules, Log Tables, and Electronic Watches with facilities of the Calculator are not allowed in the Examination Hall. Possession of such items during the Examinations may lead to cancellation of candidature.

NATA 2025: Important Guidelines

  • Candidates shall be provided with paper for any rough work.
  •  Candidates are required to perform/solve on the paper/base/material provided by the Test Centres only.
  • No candidate, without the special permission of the Centre-in-Charge, will leave his/ her seat or Examination Hall until the duration of the examination is over.
  • Candidates shall maintain silence during the examination. Any conversation, gesticulation or disturbance in the examination hall shall be deemed as a misdemeanour.
  • If a candidate is found adopting unfair means, his/ her candidature shall be cancelled and he/she will be liable to be debarred from taking the examination either permanently or for a period, to be decided by the Council of Architecture, according to the nature of offence.
  • Candidates shall abide by the advisories/ guidelines/ precautions as issued by the Government from time to time.

Important Note

If any candidate is found indulging in any form of malpractice or using any unfair means during the examination, the candidature will be cancelled outright or the candidate may be debarred from appearing in the NATA Examination for one year depending on the nature of the malpractice. If any candidate is found impersonating the candidature will be cancelled outright and the concerned candidate/imposter will be handed over to the Police for prosecution. Further, the Council may also debar such candidates from appearing in the NATA Examination for 2 years. The Council’s decision in such cases is final. Approaching Office Bearers and Officials of the Council before/during/after the conduct of NATA for seeking any favour may entail disqualification.

NATA 2025: Dos

1. Read the online instructions carefully before filling in the Application Form online.

2. Specify all personal information, address and date of birth correctly.

3. Remember your username, security question/answer and password.

4. Choose the city of the Test centre carefully.

5. Upload a colour photograph and signature of specified size only.

6. Retain a copy of the Confirmation Page.

7. Follow the schedule as mentioned in the brochure and Appointment Card.

Q:   I have not been allotted into my first preferred NATA exam city. What should I do?
A:

It is to be noted that there are chances of cases arising where the candidates will not be allotted centres within their first preferred NATA exam city. The allotment of centres will depend on many factors including preferences, centre availability, total number of candidates for the particular test centre, etc. Hence, the authorities can add or remove centres as per the requirements. If the first preferred city is not available due to some particular reason, then the candidates will be allotted centres as per their second and third preference. 

Q:   Will the NATA exam centres allow the candidates to deposit their personal belongings?
A:

Candidates are advised to let parents/guardians safekeep their personal belongings during NATA. However, if candidate is unaccompanied, then they can request NATA authorities to deposit personal belongings during the entrance examination. However, authorities bear no responsibilities for the loss of belongings. Therefore, candidates are advised to not carry expensive and important belongings to examination centre. 

8. Carry a printed copy of the Appointment Card to the examination hall

9. Carry pencils, erasers, sharpeners, dry colours, and scale up to 15 cm.

10. Only candidates with an Appointment Card shall be granted entry into the examination hall.

NATA 2025: Don’ts

1. Don’t divulge your username, security question/answer and password to anybody.

2. Don’t give the wrong/unused mobile number and email ID during the form-filling process. The candidates are advised to ensure that the e-mail address furnished in the application form is active, failing which they may face serious problems for any future correspondence. The Council shall not be responsible for the same.

3. Don’t upload poor-quality scanned photographs and signatures.

4. Don’t send duly filled-in Confirmation Page or any document through post to the CoA office.

5. Don’t spoil the hard copy of your downloaded Appointment card.

6. Don’t bring a blade, Mobile Phone, Calculator or any other electronic gadget inside the Examination Hall.

7. Don’t bring any instruments inside the Examination hall.
