IGNOU admission 2021 for July intake is currently open till November 30. For the January session, IGNOU extended its admission process till April 15 for a majority of its courses except for Certificate and courses that are offered in semester mode. This university offers a wide range of PG Diploma and PG Certificate courses and is one of the most renowned universities for distance courses in India. IGNOU admission 2021 for all its PG Diploma courses is merit-based and the admission is conducted in two cycles: January and July.

IGNOU Admission Dates 2021

IGNOU admission cycle for January intake generally ends in February every year. However, due to the ongoing pandemic, the University extended its application dates. Complete schedule regarding IGNOU admission dates 2021 is as follows:

IGNOU PG Diploma Admission 2021

IGNOU offers 38 PG Diploma programmes of one-year duration to the students in both January and July cycle of admissions. The minimum duration, as mentioned, is one year but the maximum duration for these goes up to three years. More details around IGNOU PG Diploma admission 2021 are as follows:

  • Admission to all these courses is based on merit except for PGDHHM
  • For Post Graduate Diploma in Hospital and Health Management (PGDHHM), eligible candidates are selected based on the criteria laid down by the School of Health Sciences, IGNOU. Its selection criteria is developed taking into account hospital experience, years of service and educational qualification.
  • Selection for PGDHHM is made on Regional Centre/PSC basis and in each Programme Study Centre (PSC) and there is a fixed intake of 40 students

No, once allotted, the IGNOU BEd Entrance Exam Centre 2026 cannot usually be changed. Candidates are advised to carefully select their preferred city while filling the application form. In rare cases, IGNOU may allow changes, but only under specific conditions mentioned in the guidelines.

Yes, the graduation mark sheet is mandatory for IGNOU BEd admission 2026. Candidates must provide proof of their qualifying degree with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved categories). Without valid academic certificates, the IGNOU BEd application will not be accepted by the university.
