IIT Patna Cutoff 2017: Category-wise JEE Advanced Cutoff Ranks

IIT Patna offer various BTech specialisations through JEE Advanced exam scores. Among all the courses offered by IIT Patna, BTech in AI and DS was one of the most popular course. The category-wise cutoff for the same course is given in the table below:

The IIT Patna MSc cutoff 2024 has been released for Round 1, wherein the most competitive specialisation is M.Sc. in Mathematics with a closing rank of 515 for the General AII India category students. The least competitive course is M.Sc. in Physics with a cutoff rank of 556. So, candidates seeking admission to any of the MSc courses must secure a rank up to 556 to be eligible for IIT Patna. 

IIT Patna admission to the MSc course is based on IIT JAM scores, followed by the IIT JAM counselling process. Only candidates on the JAM 2024 merit list based on JAM 2024 scorecard will be eligible to apply for admission. 

IIT Patna accepts CUET score for the BSc programme. To get admission to the BSc programme at IIT Patna the aspiring candidates need to have a minimum of 60% in class 12. They also need National/State Level Entrance (i.e., JEE (Advanced/Main), NEET, CUET, BITSAT, KVPY/NTSE/INSPIRE scholarship holders, State Entrance Examinations). 

IIT Patna accepts multiple state/national entrance exams other than JEE advance for admission to BSc courses. NEET, CUET, BITSAT, etc.,  are other exams accepted by the institute. However, candidates must make sure to first qualify for the BSc eligibility criteria. Qualified candidates just need to apply via the official website of IIT Patna.

Therefore, even if a student doesn't have a JEE Advanced score, they can always go for other entrance exam for admission. Howvever, candidates must make sure to qualify for any one of the entrance exam mentioned, in order to get admission to the BSc cousre at IIT Patna.

Candidates aiming for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) need to meet these cutoff marks in JEE Mains to be eligible for JEE Advanced 2026.

IIT Patna B.Tech cutoff 2025 concluded with the release of the Round 6 cutoff list. For the General AI quota, the cutoff ranks were in the range of 3215 and 16815. For the IIT Patna B.Tech. course, the latest cutoff information available is for 2025. During the IIT Patna BTech cutoff 2025, the last round closing ranks ranged between 3377 and 16815 for the students belonging to the General AI quota. The cutoff ranks vary for different rounds and categories. 

Candidates must complete Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with a minimum of 75% aggregate to apply for BTech programme at IIT Patna. Aspirants also need to pass JEE Main followed by JEE Advanced to get a seat in the BTech course.
