Strong academics, experienced faculty, and excellent campus life.

Placements: 74 percent of students get placed in the campus drive. The highest CTC is around 34 LPA, and the average package is around 11 LPA. Oracle, Airtel, HDFC, and CITI Bank are the top recruiting companies. Around 80–90 percent of students receive internships, commonly offered by Microsoft, Oracle, and Uber.

Infrastructure: The entire campus, including academic blocks, hostels, and the library, is enabled with high-speed Wi-Fi. The department has well-maintained laboratories. Classrooms are spacious, well-ventilated, and equipped with projectors, smart boards, and audio-visual aids.

Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified, knowledgeable, and generally helpful. The curriculum is well-structured and regularly updated as per AICTE and NIT standards, covering all core subjects. Semester exams are moderately difficult and test conceptual understanding rather than rote learning.

You will have a pretty good memories in 4 years. Placement in civil is not appreciable.

Placements: Our placement is yet to begin. As far as we know from our senior batch, the placement percentage of civil is one of the lowest of all the branches. Most roles offered are managerial ones. An average package of 8 LPA is offered, as far as I remember it properly.

Infrastructure: Most of our civil department labs are good, especially the Hydraulics Laboratory. Our classroom is still old-fashioned. There are old, typical wooden benches. There have been new rooms, but we hardly get to have class in that one. Wi-Fi facilities have been removed recently in hostels, and we are using LAN connections. I have hardly accessed the library, so I can't comment more on that. But we have 2-3 libraries with good facilities and accommodation for students and teachers. Mess food is average in most cases. Medical facilities are good, and they operate fast in emergencies.

Faculty: Most of the teachers are well-qualified. Some courses I feel like are outdated (like geology lab, drawing) unless you pursue a Ph.D. Some courses are relevant for the coming years. Curriculum doesn't make students industry-ready. Semester exams are good. The pass percentage is above 90% in most of the courses.

Other: I didn't choose this course rather, I got it by chance. The course should be changed a lot to make it even interesting and helpful towards the industry. Events and fests are very good. Extracurricular activities take place frequently. The campus surroundings are very good.

River through life at NITK.

Placements: The overall placement percentage of B.Tech students is 93%. It is important to maintain a CG above 7. People here get packages of around 20 LPA with good effort, and one of my seniors got a placement of 55 LPA. Internship offers start from the 3rd year, and many people get pre-placement offers. The average package is around 12 LPA. During the internship period, companies like Microsoft, Oracle, Texas, and Uber come to NITK, and 90% of the interns get placed based on their performance in the companies. Branches like Civil and Mechanical also get pre-placement offers from companies like ExxonMobil.

Infrastructure: Some of the department buildings are too old as our civil department. Hostel rooms are good, spacious, and properly maintained. In the first year, we have block timings. As for the mess food, it's not that good. It is the same rest of hostels we hear about online or experienced before. Registration is done after the admission process, and we have seniors here to guide us through this process.

Faculty: Teachers here are quite knowledgeable. The curriculum is relevant, but you need to do internships to get industrial experience and add value to your resume. Exams are not very difficult. They are moderate to little difficult at times. The total evaluation is done through two quizzes, one midsem, one endsem, and some assignments for some subjects.

Other: Life at NITK is fabulous. It is similar to the rest of the NITs and IITs. We have one of South India's largest cultural fests, Incident, which is generally held in the month of February or March. We also have a technical fest called Engineer, both given amazing experiences and exposure. During this time, we have a lot of visitors from surrounding colleges. Here, we have two libraries, one regular and one e-library. You will have enough books to study anything you want. You can also see one of the best sports complexes and clubs.

Placements: Almost 80% of students got placed. The highest salary package offered is 35 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 6 LPA. The average salary package offered is 10 LPA. L&T is one of the top recruiting companies, with Mahindra, Microsoft, Google, and Oracle. Almost 70% of students secured internships. Roles offered are manager post, tech head, and company employee.

Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are very good. Environment, food, rooms, water, and Wi-Fi facilities are also good. There own library is best. Classrooms are well-maintained, clean, and good. Every facility is good at hostel. Rooms are clean and hygienic.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and friendly. They treat students like their child. They are well-qualified for their roles. Teaching quality is very good I'm proud of them. I'm very lucky to have teachers like them. Course curriculum is very much related to future jobs in our branch. I love that.

National Institute of Technology, Surathkal.

Placements: Placement in NITK Surathkal is great. The placement is slightly declined due to recession. But earlier the placement was way too good, with an overall percentage of 92%. In the year 2021, around 421 companies visited NITK for recruitment. Though the number was less last year.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our department is above average. The classrooms are near good but slightly old-fashioned. We don't get the lavish classroom. The hostels here are average because the hostels are very old and there are common washrooms for all years.

Faculty: NITK has highly qualified professors, some with PhD degrees. They have an average of 15-16 years of teaching experience. The coursework includes two quizzes, a mid-semester exam, and a final exam. The difficulty level of the exams is moderate.

Other: I chose this course because I was getting the only course according to my rank. The crowd here is way too good. The campus has its own, which was another factor in choosing this college and not to forget the lighthouse too. The campus is a lush green and vintage kind of campus. There are multiple events every year, like incidents and engineers, the two most popular events.

B.Tech in Civil Engineering in NIT Surathkal is incredibly increasing for Outside State students. According to Round 2 in Josaa announced on 28th September 2022 the OR and CR are as follows OR 12,827 CR 20,323 The above one is for OS GENRAL Category and Gender Neutral Candidates.

i have got 34668 in the OBC-NCL category in JEE Mains paper-2 (B.Arch/B.Planning), can I get admission?

You'll not get NITK with these marks. Nor any of the NIT. I would suggest you to go for other private colleges for B.Arch . Moreover, for government, there are least hope with colleges with home state quotas. Best of luck.
