CBSE Class 10 Marks Calcultor
Major Subject | Total Questions | Total Marks | For each correct response |
---|---|---|---|
English | 50 | 40 | 0.8 |
Hindi | 50 | 40 | 0.8 |
Mathematics | 40 | 40 | 1 |
Social Science | 50 | 40 | 0.8 |
Science | 50 | 40 | 0.8 |
How to calculate CBSE Class 10 Result 2021-22 (Term 1)
- Check the answer keys provided to calculate the total number of correct/incorrect answers
- For all subjects, except Maths and English, multiply the total number of correct responses with 0.8 and round off the answer. Remember, as per CBSE rules, 32.2 and 32.7 both would be rounded up to the next whole number, which is 33.
- For Maths, since each question carries 1 mark, the number of correct responses is equal to the number of marks scored
- For English, due to the removal of the First passage, CBSE has decided to award full marks for that question to all students - so 8 correct responses. Hence, to calculate your Class 10 English marks, barring the first 10 questions, calculate the number of total questions correct for the remaining questions. For example, out of the remaining 32 questions you attempted, you got 28 right. To this number, add 8 more and then multiple the number with 0.8. In this case, score would be (28+8)*0.8 = 28.8, which would be rounded off to 29 marks out of 40.
CBSE Class 10 Term 1 Result 2021: Process explained
- For CBSE Class 10 English exam, the first passage, in which students were required to attempt 8 questions, has been cancelled. In turn, all students, irrespective of the set they received, would be given full marks for these 8 questions.
- CBSE would be rounding off the marks received by the students and sharing the same with the student.
- For Term 1, no student would be given a pass or fail. Only the marks scored by the students would be shared with the respective students.
- As per the information shared with schools, CBSE would not be moderating the scores after Term 1. The marks scored by students in Term 2 would be compared with the Term 1 marks and then the result would be prepared after moderation, after the Term 2 exams are conducted
- In case a student has not attempted a paper, he/she would be marked absent and only internal marks – as submitted by the school, would be awarded.
- In order to pass, the student would have to score a total of 33 marks out of 100 – which would include the internal score and the theory/ MCQ score. It is hence premature to start calculating your percentage.
The weightage of Term 1 marks – whether 50% or more/ less would depend on the Term 2 examinations – if, how and when they are conducted. The marks of Term 1, however, would be considered and not ignored.
How to calculate CGPA of CBSE 10th Result 2022 Term 1
Students can calculate the CGPA by following the instructions given below:
- Add the scored grade points of the main five subjects
- Now, divide the number by 5
Let's say the grade points for 5 subjects respectively are 8,8,7,9,8
Total= (8+8+7+9+8) = 40
Now average grade = 40/5
CGPA = 8
Here's how to convert CGPA into percentage
In order to convert the overall CGPA into the percentage, multiply it by 9.5
For example, For 8 CGPA, multiply it with 9.5
Thus, 8 x 9.5 = 76%
