Our college is known for its infrastructure.
Placements: Our course outcome is very good but it is very difficult to find a job in the core field. The opportunity for the core field of mechatronics in Karnataka is very less. Graduated students find any IT job or any other industry. Around 10 to 15 students of our branch got placed out of 60. The starting salary package offered is 3.6 LPA to 5 LPA. Top recruiters are Cognizant, Capgemini, Infosys, and TCS. The internship program is included in the syllabus so every student has to do the internship. Our college provides recommendation letters for students to any company. Software developer, graduate trainee, associate, etc., are the roles offered.
Infrastructure: Our college provides one of the best facilities. It is well known for its infrastructure. Labs have all the facilities as per the syllabus. The hostel provides good faculty members and food. They serve non-vegetarian meals twice a week. Our college has a clinic which is free of cost for students and has an ambulance. Our college provides the best opportunities for sports. There are different areas for different kinds of sports.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are always helpful for the better outcome of students in terms of academics. They prepare themselves before getting into any topics. Every department has experienced faculty members. The course curriculum is very useful for students to gain knowledge but there are very few core industries in Karnataka. Semester exams are conducted by the Visvesvaraya Technological University. The difficulty level of the exam is average. Around 70-80% is the pass percentage.
Other: Our college is known for its fests and events. It celebrates fests for a month like sports, dance, ethnic, acting, etc. I am from the mechatronics course. It is very difficult to get admission to this course because only 4 to 5 colleges offer mechatronics course. There are around 240-300 seats in the entire state.

Our college is average in all aspects.
Placements: Around 30% of students are placed. The highest salary package offered is around 25 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 10 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Infosys and Wipro. The percentage of students who get internships is around 48% in Infosys.
Infrastructure: It provides the best hostel and engineering college in India. It is big and around 120 acres of land full of the garden is available. Wi-Fi is enabled on the campus with a library, and the hostel is also good with the quality of food and canteen. A separate stadium and games tournament is in every month.
Faculty: The teaching quality is average as the teachers are new to the first-year degree students, and students get hard in the starting. It is very difficult to pass semester exams. The pass percentage is around 40%. Teachers are helpful and the curriculum is relevant.
Other: I opted for this course, because it has a future in robotics. The best thing to learn about robotics is how to understand AI technology. I wish it has more courses and books. The campus crowd is very good. Events are also conducted in this college.

It is the biggest college in Bangalore, and the fee is not much high.
Placements: 40% of students got placed in my course. The highest package offered was 15 LPA, and the lowest package was 2.5 Lacs per annum. Top recruiting companies are Infosys, Wipro, BYJU's etc. Most of the placements are not guaranteed, but the average package is 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: The faculty members are awesome. The campus atmosphere is the best. It is the biggest college in India, with 120 acres of campus. Free Wi-Fi is available for students and teachers. A library, big classrooms and hostel facilities are available and are good. Sports and games are played every week. The college has a separate stadium.
Faculty: The teachers are average. They are well-qualified, but for the first year, the teachers are not experienced. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are very difficult and evaluation is very strict. The pass percentage is 40%.
Other: I chose this course because it will have good demand in future in the robotics field. There are limited books on it, and no extra knowledge is provided.

It is the biggest college in India, but it doesn't have good placements.
Placements: Almost 60% of students were placed from our course. The highest salary package offered was around 15 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 2 LPA. Top recruiting companies here are Infosys, Byju's and Wipro. However, this college gives less placements. Almost 40% of students got internships in companies like Google, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is top in India. It is the biggest institute I have ever seen, and it is spread around 120 acres. There is separate Wi-Fi for teachers and students. The library and classrooms are top-notch. The hostel is also good. About 80% of students are from the hostel, while the remaining are in PG or local students. Our college even has a stadium.
Faculty: Education will never change in India. Students who get full marks are considered good, while the rest are bad. In this institute also, it is the same situation. Semester exams are also difficult as our college is affiliated with VTU. It follows VTU's syllabus. The teaching quality is moderate.
Other: Mechatronics has the scope, as in the future, everything will be based on artificial intelligence. So there should be students who have skills and knowledge in these courses. I wish that there should be an improvement in books as they are limited for this course as it's Indian education.

Engineering in Acharya: Read this honest review before you join.
Placements: Our college has a placement department who are very helpful and always try to get as many companies on campus. But unfortunately many companies don't consider our college as an option only because it's far from central Bangalore this being outskirts. There is a 25% placement in our department where all the students are placed in IT companies like Infosys, Cognizant and TCS with an average salary of 4lpa. We cannot expect core related jobs on campus. The highest packages comes from companies like Byjus who want sales and marketing skills. They offer roughly about 8 to 10lpa. But doing mechanical and electronics (Mechatronics) and getting placed for marketing isn't worth it. Is it?
Infrastructure: The Infrastructure of Acharya Institutes is the best in the city. 120 acres of clean and busy campus. The Architecture of these buildings is a masterpiece. The college claims to be a Wi-Fi campus and also charges 5,000 per year but we can't find it anywhere in the campus. I stayed in the college hostel during the first year and it was fun. Here we get LAN ports which offer high-speed internet. The quality of the food is good but me being from Bangalore expects the food to be spicy. The food is liked by North Indians as mostly dal items are served. Maybe this is the reason why 80% of the people in hostel are North Indians.
Faculty: Engineering generally has a lot of subjects be it any branch. We can't expect teachers to spoon feed you everything like they do in the school. It's our responsibility to learn the subject and the reason why we are taught these. Learning without knowing the purpose of what we are learning is a common mistake we make. I hope Atleast one person reading the review changes the way of approach towards studies.
Other: Mechatronics sounded very interesting for me at the beginning. I wanted to explore more of robotics and chose it. Today I stand happy with the decision I made. I personally feel that our course can be improved by more of practical learning than theoretical. Acharya Habba, our college fest is one of the biggest fests it Bangalore, if you are free try participating in it once. The campus life altogether is peaceful.

You are already pursuing B.Tech course then why do you want lateral entry admission? Lateral entry is only applicable for Diploma qualified students.

Mechatronics Engineering is gaining popularity and opening new opportunities with every passing day. Hence, there is a good chance that after five years, India will open it’s arms for Mechatronics.
