NIFT Kolkata Cutoff 2025: Check Category-wise NIFT Cutoff Ranks

NIFT Kolkata cutoff 2025 was released for B.Des, B.FTech and MFM courses. The cutoff was released for different categories belonging to the AI quota. For the General category, the NIFT last round closing ranks ranged between 815 and 3060 for B.Des. Considering the cutoff ranks, the most competitive was Fashion Communication, with the lowest first and last round closing ranks of 503 and 815, respectively. NIFT Kolkata Cutoff 2025 for General Al Category

For students in the General AI category, the maximum NIFT cutoff rank required for B.Des admission was 3060. This indicates that any cutoff rank below this is considered a safe rank for admission across B.Des specialisations at NIFT Kolkata. NIFT cutoff was released as opening and closing ranks for all the Design courses offered at the UG and PG levels. 

The institute also offers B.FTech. in Apparel Production at the undergraduate level, for which the NIFT first and last round closing ranks for admission were 382 and 2885, respectively. 

At the postgraduate level, it offers the Master of Fashion Management (MFM), wherein the NIFT 2025 first round cutoff rank was 162, which further increased to 365 in the last round. 

NIFT Kolkata Cutoff 2025 for OBC Al Category

NIFT Kolkata B.Des cutoff 2025 for Fashion Design was 3127 in the last round. The closing rank for the same course was 1984 in the first round of admission. For other B.Des specialisations, including Fashion Communication and Accessory Design, the NIFT last round cutoff ranks were 3098 and 4920, respectively. 

For B.Des. in Textile Design and Leather Design, the NIFT last round closing ranks stood at 5623 and 5950, respectively, for admission among the students belonging to the OBC category under the AI quota. 

NIFT Kolkata Cutoff 2025 for SC Al Category

Compared with the OBC category, the NIFT 2025 cutoff ranks were less competitive for admission among the students belonging to the SC AI category. For B.Des admission, the maximum NIFT cutoff rank required was 8241. Of all the B.Des specialisations, the most competitive was Fashion Design, followed by Fashion Communication and Accessory Design. 

The institute also offers B.FTech. in Apparel Production, for which the NIFT first and last round closing ranks were 1751 and 2971, respectively. 

The NIFT 2025 first round cutoff rank for the Master of Fashion Management (MFM) admission was 879, which further increased to 896 in the last round. The rise in the cutoff rank indicates vacant seats available till the last round. Therefore, the cutoff was comparatively more relaxed in the last round for admission.

NIFT Kolkata Cutoff 2025 for EWS Al Category

B.Des and B.FTech. in Apparel Production are offered at the undergraduate level, for which the maximum NIFT cutoff ranks required for admission were 8252 and 2338, respectively. 

Under the B.Des programme, the most competitive was Fashion Communication, followed by Fashion Design and  Accessory Design, with NIFT's last round cutoff ranks of 4001, 4628 and 5247, respectively. For other courses and specialisations, check out the table below: 

NIFT Kolkata Cutoff 2025 for PWD Al Category

In the PWD category, the NIFT cutoff 2025 was released only for B.Des. in Fashion Communication and B.Des. in Accessory Design. Among these specialisations, the most competitive was Accessory Design, with NIFT's first and last round closing rank of 6842. 

Similarly, for  B.Des. in Fashion Communication, NIFT's first and last round closing rank stood at 7020.
