The college has good infrastructure and experienced faculty members.

Placements: No placements were provided by the college. Some companies visited the campus to give some seminars, but the placements provided are too low. Hardly 1 or 2 students were placed, but the salary packages offered were very low. We have to complete our M.Sc. to get job offers further with good salary packages.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Some books were not available in the library, we have also reported to the authorities, and they provided those books. Labs and classrooms were well-furnished, but some instruments were too old. I have no idea about the hostel rooms. The food in the canteen was very expensive.

Faculty: Faculty members were very helpful. They helped us understand any case of our studies. The lab assistants were not well educated, so they did not help us. Our teachers provided class notes every day, and that was very helpful for us to study. The student-teacher ratio was 10:1.

It is a moderate college with lots of opportunities.

Placements: Many students of our batch are pursuing higher studies, and some of us are in private jobs and government jobs. But most of us are still trying for placements. Some companies visited the college for placements. Most of the students did not get placements from college. The college is affiliated to Calcutta University.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is nice. Classrooms are good. It is a compact college with lots of subjects to choose from. Annual games and lots of cultural programs are conducted for students to participate. There are game rooms, toilets, staff rooms, lavatory, etc., available here. There is a lobby to enjoy.

Faculty: Faculty members in the college are very good. Teachers and lab assistants in the college are helpful. It was a pleasure to be a student. There are many course selection options, and there are Hons, major, and general courses. These are under Calcutta University. There are some distance courses under Vidyasagar University.

Mandatory Subjects : Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics
Candidates who has passed the 10+2 or its equivalent examination is eligible to apply provided he/she has also passed in English having full marks not being less than 100. No candidate shall be allowed for admission after a lapse of more than 3 years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination or discontinuation of recognized regular Course of Study after passing the previous qualifying examination. For the purpose of determining eligibility for admission to the Honours Course, aggregate marks shall be calculated by adding the marks in top-four subjects in order of marks secured by a candidate. However, marks in compulsory Environmental Education /Studies shall not be taken into account for calculation of aggregate marks. Candidate must have aggregate 50%, Physics: 45%, Passed in Mathematics, Chemistry. However, Candidates belonging to the SC/ ST or OBC Community must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate at the previous qualifying examination.
