Placements: Chandigarh Group of Colleges offers B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, which is an evergreen branch. The average package for mechanical goes up to 6 -7 LPA, with the highest package of 10 to 12 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Yamaha, TVS, Atlas Copco, L. G., etc. Companies hire students for different roles like Service Engineer, Production Engineer, Consultant, Sales Engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are available on campus, both AC and Non-AC. Apart from that, facilities include Wi-Fi, a study room, a gym, an indoor sports arena, and a ground for outdoor sports. Mess charges are included in hostel fees with good quality food and hygiene. There is a medical dispensary with 24/7 service inside the college campus.
Faculty: The faculty of Chandigarh Group of Colleges is very helpful and well-qualified. They clear every doubt of each student and teach every concept effectively. The curriculum of the mechanical course is up-to-date, and it makes students industry-ready as there are proper lab infrastructures and industrial visit facilities. The semester exams range from moderate to tough, but with the right guidance from teachers, every student can score above average or good marks.
Other: I chose this course because it's very fascinating how machines work and how industrial things work. The mechanical course teaches us to learn about machines and how things work. In previous years, students are focusing more on software related course which has resulted the low numbers of admission in mechanical, this is what I wish to improve about my course. Campus life is paced with various events and fests. Parivartan is the main event of colleges, technical and non-technical events, DJ nights, and festival celebrations, sports events, etc. All are organised on the campus.

It provides an average placement program.
Placements:
The placement depends on luck, though our college has a good placement program. Still, students mostly have to look for jobs on their own. The lowest package in our college is about 2.5 LPA, and the highest is 6 LPA to 7 LPA. We can say that it provides a decent number of placements.
Infrastructure: Overall, facilities are good. The infrastructure, classrooms, and hostels are quite good. Some classrooms are air-conditioned, and every class has a projector. The quality of the furniture is also good. The college provides a library for borrowing books, along with canteens and other food shops.
Faculty:
Not all teachers are helpful. Some are quite rude, but some are very nice. The quality of teachers is also average, as some are good and some are not. Semester exams are quite difficult and are conducted with very strict rules, with all the necessary checkings.
Other: They made it look like a very good college from the outside. It's not as good as they have represented it, but it's not bad. Improvements can also be made in placement programs and by providing real opportunities.

This is the best college and amazing college life.
Placements: Around 50-60% of students secured placements. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA. Top recruiting companies are from sales and marketing. Around 20 students from our course interned with mechanical companies. Top roles are based on our knowledge.
Infrastructure: The mechanical department has a dedicated building with numerous classrooms. Each classroom accommodating around 50 students. Hostel provides excellent accommodation, with 3 students per room. Food quality is good. They provide 4 meal a day. Medical facilities is also available. A variety of games and activities are available for students.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and helpful. Teaching quality is good. Course curriculum is relevant and makes students to be industry-ready by offering exposure to various companies and providing practical work experience. Exams are not difficult. Pass percentage is around 33%.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in it. The best part is they provide us with practical skills, along with industrial visits for better understanding. I don't feel any changes are necessary. College conducts numerous events. Around 4-5 activities organized each month. Scholarships are also provided to students.

Our college offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses with good placements.
Placements: Our college provides good placements. Almost all students got placed. The group has connections with several companies and organisations, which provide students with the opportunity to get practical exposure and help them gain knowledge. The college conducts regular training sessions for placements.
Infrastructure: Our college provides excellent infrastructure. Our college has 11 blocks of different courses. There are 2 playgrounds, 4 to 5 parks, 1 basketball court, and 1 badminton court. There are 3 to 4 canteens. The library is available. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. Hostels are good. Laundry and gym facilities are available. The quality of the food is good.
Faculty: Our teachers are well-experienced and knowledgeable. They are excellent and helpful. Our college has over 1500 faculty members. Teachers do their best to make students learn concepts practically. Semester exams are easy. The pass percentage is 40%.
Other: I chose mechanical engineering because of my interest in vehicles and non-technical work.

Exploring my life with college.
Placements: 70% of the students get placed through our college. The highest paid job is 15 lacs and the minimum is 6 lacs. The top recruiting companies are Tata, Swaraj and Bajaj. Almost all students get an internship through our college. Top roles offered as manager, and project director.
Infrastructure: The facilities provided are really good and the infrastructure is also nice. The classes are neat and clean but the library is too big. The quality of teaching is really good and the teachers are very knowledgeable. The mess is really poor and the food is not good enough. Although the hostel is fine.
Faculty: The teachers are good and helpful. The teaching quality is really good. The course is very much relevant. And it makes students industry ready. The semester exams are tough and the students have to work hard enough to get through the exams.

Placements: The placement record of our college was good. Our college ensures that students get the best placement offers. The salary package offered ranged from 4 LPA to 27 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Tata, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Google, Microsoft, Saint-Gobain, IBM, Walmart, and Wipro. Most students got internships in our course at companies like Wipro.
Infrastructure: In our college, rooms, labs, and toilets were clean. There were many libraries. The cafeteria and garden were very good. The food served here was the best of all the colleges.
Faculty: There were well-trained faculty members. Every faculty member was well-qualified and polite to every student. Lab assistants and technicians were also good. They conducted industrial visits for us to gain more knowledge. Exams were of a very good level.
Other: I chose mechanical engineering because I liked mechanical work, engines, and machines. Events and everything else was very good.

Our college is moderate and it has value for money.
Placements: In our batch, almost all students got placed. Some got very good opportunities in core companies like Mahindra and Honda, and others were placed in various IT fields, so the placement record was quite good.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was good. It had 2-3 parks and 2 playgrounds. A volleyball court was available and the hostel was good. Some hostels were old but they were good, and there was a new hostel that was impressive. Classrooms and labs were good.
Faculty: Our teachers were qualified. They had enough knowledge to help you achieve your goals. If you were hard-working, then they would give their best. Semester exams were moderate. If you studied regularly, it would be easy for you to crack. The passing percentage of external exams was just 40%, but without study, it was difficult to get.
Other: The best thing about our course was campus life. The fests and events that happen at regular intervals were good. The college crowd was good and the main city was nearer than any college from this college. Scholarships were available. You enjoyed the events and fests.

I am highly satisfied with this college.
Placements: Around 90% of students are placed. The highest salary package offered is 15 LPA. The average salary package offered is around 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Tata Steel, Hyundai, Royal Enfield, L&T, etc. Around 65% of students got internships in the previous year.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is excellent. Our campus environment is good and our students are superb. They can study well and can achieve their goals. Hostel facilities are available for both girls and boys. A playground is also available in our college.
Faculty: Faculty members are good because they do not pressure the students. They try to give practical knowledge to students. Semester exams are the same compared to other colleges. Teachers are strict so that students could not copy during exams.
Other: Mechanical engineering is an old stream and it always gives you the opportunity to do something big in your life as an engineer.
