COEP MTech Eligibility & Highlights 2026
COEP MTech course is a two-year course offered in full-time mode. MTech at COEP is offered in affiliation with the Savitribai Phule Pune University in several specialisations including BTech in Computer Engineering, Biomedical Instrumentation, Artificial Intelligence & Robotics, etc. There are over 20 COEP branches of MTech available.
COEP MTech admission is decided on entrance-basis. The COEP Technological University course admissions are decided on the valid scores obtained in the national and state-level exams such as GATE or MHTCET for MTech admissions. In addition to the aforementioned exams, candidates must also fulfill the eligibility criteria for their chosen COEP MTech course.

Yes, the College of Engineering Pune (COEP) accepts the scorecard of JEE-Main. But the majority of seats are sanctioned for Maharashtra domicile students and are filled through MHT-CET. An additional 25% seats are provided for All India Candidates who are admitted through the JEE-Main score. Apart from UG courses like BTech the College of Engineering Pune also provides a wide range of PG and doctoral courses which have their own specified entrance exams through which students can enroll in the desired course.

COEP MTech Admission Dates 2026
COEP MTech admission dates are inline with its accepted entrance exam dates. The institute accepts the scores of the GATE and MH-CET entrance exams to select candidates for admissions. The GATE dates are usually scheduled between the months of January and February. The COEP MTech deadline will be revealed at a later date.

College of Engineering MTech Admission 2026: How to Apply?
The COEP MTech application process is conducted in online mode. The candidates are selected on the basis of their scores in the GATE or the MH-CET entrance exams during COEP admissions. The steps mentioned below show the entire process for COEP MTech course admissions:
STEP 1: COEP MTech Application Process
Follow the steps below to apply for COEP MTech courses:
- Visit the official website of COEP.
- Click on the 'Admissions' tab and select 'Post Graduate'.
- Register on the GOAPS website.
- Choose the desired MTech coure.
- Fill the online application form.
- Attach all necessary documents.
- Pay the COEP MTech application fee.
To register for the aforementioned entrance exams, candidates need to visit their online portals and followthe directions of the announcement circular.
Documents Required at the Time of Admissions
- Certificates along with mark sheets of both Class 10 & 12
- Graduation certificate along with mark sheets
- Entrance exam scorecard
- Proof of both ID and address
- Passport-size photographs
- Character certificate
- Migration certificate
- Domicile certificate
- Attested copies of birth certificate and last qualifying examination
- Attested copies of any other necessary document required (SC/ ST/ OBC certificate etc.)
STEP 2: Selection Process
The candidates who clear the entrance exams with the appropriate ranks will be called for the counseling rounds. Here, the candidates are alloted seats according to their preferences of the COEP branches.
STEP 3: Confirmation of Admissions
After the counseling rounds, candidates are required to pay the MTech admission fees to confirm their admissions. The fee for COEP MTech admission 2025 was INR 1.56 lakh.

COEP MTech cutoffs can vary every year. The COEP MTech cutoffs are based on MHT CET and GATE scores. Candidates who score appropriately will be alloted seats during the counselling rounds. The COEP cutoffs wll be displayed in this section after they have been announced by the institute.

COEP MTech curriculum has a duration of two years which cover four semesters. The COEP MTech syllabus has 20+ different variations for each COEP branch that is available to the candidates.
