MTech is a two-year course offered at IIT Gandhinagar in eight specialisations. Some of these specialisations include, Computer Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc. Besides MTech, the institute also offers Work & Study MTech programmes in the same eight specialisations. Work and Study MTech is a three-year course. Admission to both MTech and Work & Study MTech is based on the GATE scores. Candidates without a GATE score can appear for a written test conducted by the institute followed by a Personal Interview round for final admission. Yes, IIT Gandhinagar conducts a Personal Interview round. Candidates can be asked to appear for the institute-level entrance test. In order to apply, all applications must fill the form online. Yes, non-GATE candidates must appear for the institute level entrance test. However, all candidates are required to appear for the PI round for final selection. Candidates seeking admission to BTech at IIT Gandhinagar are expected to qualify both JEE Main and JEE Advanced and further go through JoSAA counselling to secure admission.
