IIT Guwahati offers one undergraduate programme at the Department of Design (DoD), namely the Bachelor of Design (BDes). The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati scholarships are awarded to its undergraduate students to promote and recognise academic excellence, and overall development of meritorious students who have passed their respective qualifying examinations. Scholarships shall be awarded to BDes students based on the recommendations of the scholarship committee of the institute following the norms laid down by the statutes of the institute and as directed by the IIT council from time to time.
IMS is available for BDes students of the institute. The IITG scholarships are meant for the year-wise class toppers of all the streams and are awarded in the second year. Furthermore, it also includes a tuition fee waiver and a fixed monthly stipend for eight months.

To be considered for admission to UCEED 2025 participating institutes, the candidates need to meet the following conditions simultaneously:
- Age limit - The candidate needs to be born on or after October 1, 1999. For candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories, there is a relaxation of five years.
- UCEED 2025 qualification - The candidate must have qualified in the UCEED 2025 entrance exam and must have been allocated a merit rank.
- Qualifying examination - The candidate must have passed all the subjects in the qualifying exam (10+2 or equivalent) in 2023 or should be appearing in the qualifying exam for the first time in 2025.
