Whether 50 in UCEED a good rank for IIT Guwahati depends on the category the student belongs to. For students belonging to the General AI category, the cutoff rank in round 1 was 77. Yes, IIT Guwahati offers scholarships to BDes students. The institute offers Institute Merit Scholarship, Institute Merit-cum-Means (McM) Scholarships, SC-ST Scholarships and others. Apart from this, the institute also offers assistanship to BDes students. Assistantships are provided to regular students (Indian nationals) in the CEED score condition for getting assistantships is exempted for students with BDes degrees from an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) with minimum CPI of 8.0.

To apply for BTech at IIT Guwahati candidates are required to fill out the application form by visiting the official website of JEE Main. Given below are step-by-step process to apply for BTech:

Step 1: Register and appear for JEE Mains exam.

Step 2: Qualify JEE Main and appear for the JEE Adv. exam.

Step 3: Register for JoSAA Counselling.

Step 4: Seat Allotment is conducted by JoSAA.

Step 5: Report at alloted college and Pay the fee.

All the students seeking admission to the Bachelor of Design (BDes) programme offered at IIT Guwahati must apply for UCEED first, and then submit a duly filled application to the institute. Each candidate can attempt UCEED a maximum of two times in consecutive years, and the score of the entrance exam is valid only for one year. Master’s degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 60% to 70% aggregate or 6.0 to 7.0 CPI is the basic eligibility for the PhD programme offered at IIT Guwahati. Candidates with a four-year bachelor’s degree/ equivalent qualification with a minimum of 70% aggregate or 7.0 CPI can also apply.
